Best transfer of the summer so far? (Halfway) Empty Best transfer of the summer so far? (Halfway)

Post by McAgger Thu Jul 31, 2014 11:12 am

We're almost officially half way through who so is the best transfer so far? the worst transfer? Take into account the fees as well.

Worst transfer so far I think is David Luiz. For 50m Laughing

I know Lewandowski signed for Bayern in January but since he's only joining now. I'm going with Lewa for free.

Kroos to Madrid for 24m, if we're talking purely the player and price.

Worst is DL4 for 50m Proud

Worst transfer - I totally agree with that horribly overpriced David Luiz transfer.

Best transfer - for me of course Yann Sommer finally to the Bundesliga, that is to BMG. cheers

Sideshow Bob to PSG really looks the undisputed champ of terrible transfers for this window.

Lallana will probably be the best of our signings. Let him play a bit at least.

If they're going to judge other signings without seeing them play why should they not do the same for Lallana?

obviously its theoretical.

If we are counting free's then I fail to see how anyone could look past Lewa for best and Luiz for worst.

I'll go with Kroos as the best and James Rodriguez as the worst due to the transfer FEE. 1year ago Ozil was sold because Di Maria was a better fit for the system ( rightfully so) . Then a similar player who don't even have the passing ability of Ozil is brought in a year for later.

I don't think Ozil was sold because he didn't fit the system. Ozil was sold so Perez could recuperate some of the cash he spent on Bale.

Thing with Perez is he doesn't really care about tactics. He just treats everything like a business and buys players based on hype.

This thread is irrelevant as no-one has played a competitive game so any relative value is useless.

Atleast half a season is required to judge a player

Suarez to Barcelona. Even though he was expensive he was the best player moved and when he gets back he'll make their attack all that much better

People have short memories

If he comes in when that period is over and plays really well and helps barca win titles then nobody will care about the ban. And I'm sure he will play well, definitely the best player moved in the window. The high price and his history of bans does make it a risk but it's worth it. Don't think any team despite all his problems would turn him down if they had a chance to sign him.

That is pretty short sighted don't you think? To not sign someone to a 4-5 year deal because there going to miss 8-9 games max is the ruling holds up.

Does anyone really remember or care at all that Suarez missed the first part of the season for Liverpool last year as well and the team and he had a great season?

The ruling came down on June 26th and will end October 25th. La Liga starts on the 24th of August and he will really miss two months of the season and a couple group Champions League games in which Barca really doesn't need him as they always progress past the group stage.

And if you think he doesn't already have a personal trainer directly from Barcelona and is doing almost everything there doing in training then you are sorely mistaken.
