I'm at work and keeping up to date with this through a love commentary feed. Screw Buffon. Too good.

What a wimp Evra is. Forcing all the kids to take it before him despite him having all that experience

Epic penalty shootout though. A little sad for Buffon who was outstanding

I had to keep in mind that this was just a Super Cup (yes, Rafa just won the equivalent of the Community Shield). Luckily, the players didn't and gave me a lovely match to watch.

Super Cup is a lot more of a big deal to Italian football than Charity Shield is to English folks.

You just need to compare the reacttion of Juve players and staff (even Nedved) to those of City back in August to find out. This was a proper competitive final, as opposed to joke of a training match that Arsenal and City played a few months ago.

During penalty kicks I invoked that saint man called Jerzy Dudek my Liverpool friends .
Anyway yes Sepi is right.
Italian Supercup is more felt than Shield ( it is not a difficult challenge though ,   maybe England is the country where it is less important ) , besides the Juve is rated as the biggest rival  from Napoli fans.  It is as a derby for them.

Yeah but today, he was quite clutch for Napoli. Hala would argue he has been clutch for Napoli since joining (along with Callejon).

Higuain has always been clutch. He was underperforming for us in CL but I am sure Carlo would've gotten the best out of him. For us and Napoli in the league he has been more than clutch. He singlehandedly won us a bloody league ffs and won Napoli a trophy yesterday. I just want a good team to buy him. Would love United to buy him but they have too many strikers right now. Arsenal seems a good destination to teach the scrubs Giroud and Welbeck how to guide Arsenal to a title

2 classico goals in 7 years .

one CL knockout stage goal in 7 years .

countless open misses in key matches ( more than i can count against barça, the one against lyon , dortmund etc..)

2 key misses for napoli in the crucial game against Bilbao.

and Callejon is the one playing the clutch role in napoli , scoring frequently against roma and juve in the league for example .

the guy is a scrub killer .

Funny enough I heard he played a defensive counter attacking 4-4-2 against Juve last week lol.

Serie A is always a satisfation for Juve fans in these last times ... even Zeman sacked for a loss against Juve
but if he was sacked after Roma-Cagliari and he coached Cagliari , now he is sacked after Cagliari-Juve I suppose he is going to manage Juve next year :coffee:

Probably many imagined Cagliari would have played the best football in Serie A under Zeman this summer, but it wasn't so.

The most beautiful football was played by Empoli under Sarri so far imo.

He's playing a great football with scrubs and he is getting also results. I think they ' ll save although many thought about Empoli as a sure relegated.

Not totally surprised tbh . I follow Sarri since he managed Pescara in Serie B , and he showed similar things.
Finally he got a deserved credit.

I really don't think it's fair to blame Higuain for Napoli crashing out against Bilbao. He may have missed chances but he did also score a great goal in the first leg whilst Michu and Callejon failed to convert. Fundamentally though the fault lies with their defence. They had no trouble creating chances but they bled easy goals. Hardly the centre forward's fault.

Also Zeman failed to win a home game all season. Incredible given the performances they put in against Inter away and Milan at home.

and he tied 3-3 against Napoli at San Paolo playing a great match
but this can't be enough to avoid a relegation

That's just his style. All attack. Defence is completely neglected.
