scrub teams doing sagas smh
yea and thats precisely the reason why we have lvg as our coach and not some spineless Italian.
He would have been at our training ground by now if there wasnt this scepticism on lvg's part
He want to make sure that he is the apt signing for us and thats causing the delay.
If lvg want him we will get him. dont worry.
yea and until then you guys, the supporters of the so called great teams can keep on following sagas of scrub teams, count the number of pages of vidal thread from redcafe. we wont mind.

remember we are the mid table team around these parts. the scrub team. the team which is supposed to conquer everton and totenham first and only then think about even looking straight at the legendary top 4s eyes. how dare you forgot that.

As if this thread wasn't terrible enough without the most un-Vidal related argument in it
Imo this thread should be locked until somebody who's not Vidals cousins drinking partners friends wifes cousins bartender sheds some new light on this fascinating 'Transfer saga' journey we've all come to know and love.

'spineless' in the sense he doesnt have a say on who the club buys. just to clarify.
dont take it the wrong way.
rephrasing it as 'voiceless'.

Re: #23 - Arturo Vidal
United has so obviously been expending all of their transfer efforts on completing the signing of Vidal that they have simply not had time to scout/negotiate with a CB or a RWB.
Seriously, though... United are starting Tyler Blackett, Chris Smalling, and Phil Jones as their CBs. Jesse Lingard is starting at RWB/RM. Granted, there are injuries that are forcing these changes. However, you're really going to tell me that Arturo Vidal was their biggest need and the player they are willing to devote their entire summer window toward pursuing?
Above Vidal on the wish-list should be 2 CBs and an attacking RB. Should United fail to make those moves, I believe they will come to regret it. I'm not discounting United's positive preseason campaign. I'm just being realistic about their options and depth in those areas. I can't imagine that any United supporters are truly comfortable with their current options.

Re: #23 - Arturo Vidal
One of the names that has featured prominently in the newspapers this summer is Arturo Vidal's. Marotta explained: "This whole saga has been inflated by the media. The reality is that no negotiations have ever taken place, firstly because we never wanted to sell the player and secondly because he signed a new contract not long ago and has never expressed any desire to leave.
"Indeed, it is often the player's wishes that prove decisive in these things. Take Storari, for example. He'd like to be able to take up the opportunity Sassuolo have offered him. At the moment we don't have an alternative who is equally reliable but even if we weren't able to grant his wish, he'd be more than happy to remain here with us."

Re: #23 - Arturo Vidal
We have that incompetent clown Woodward. This was never gonna happen.
That clown got every Utd fan's hopes up due to his interview in pre season, and we all dreamed of big signings-Vidal being one of them.
But it was all just bluff.

Of course it was.
Remember, Ed Woodward had issues getting players over the line last season, when they were coming off a league championship and a solid showing in the CL.
After last season's abysmal performance, United (specifically Woodward) was always going to struggle to attract the calibre of player they want/need.

Not seen anything. Wouldn't be surprised if there was a deadline day shock. Chances of Man Utd signing him are lowered with Di Maria joining imo.

Re: #23 - Arturo Vidal
It' s dead. But already before of Di Maria. tbf In this summer Gazzetta lost that credit earn to my eyes after that January transfer window where it was the most reliable source (it was the 1st to talk about Hernanes, Naingolaan etc ). On the other hand the same man (Laudisa) who talked about United to offer 60 mln is the same man who is talking now about the possibilites of Juve to get Falcao on loan Probably he drank so much this summer.
