El Mercurio: Vidal will leave #FCBayern in the summer due to non-adaptation & Simeone wants him at Atletico Madrid.
Sold him at the right time

We just lulled you into a feeling of safety in order to get Coman.

Re: #23 - Arturo Vidal
Pretty sure Coman will become obsolete once Carlo takes over so all's good
Back to Vidal, seems like he's taking his drunkard habits to the next level.Stepping up his game rather nicely tbh.

Seems legit.
A comment from a Bayern fan :
Watch the next game. He's as useless for a Pep team as Schweinsteiger was. Speaking of which, Schweinsteiger recorded his highest goal-to-game ratios during his last two seasons at Bayern...under Pep...playing arguably his worst performances of his career.
I like Vidal, don't get me wrong. I was a huge fan of him when he was at Leverkusen and have been supporting his move here for years. But it hurts to watch him struggle with the wuick-one-touch passing, the lack of positional and tactical awareness, and the total obliviousness of which players are around him. Vidal (or any box-to-box mid) under Pep is quite simply a liability.
Coman, Kimmich, Boateng, Alaba, and Neuer have all shined greatly under Pep.
Pep

Re: #23 - Arturo Vidal
First of all, Mole's point still stands.
Secondly, it's very possible Vidal was already bought with Ancelotti in mind, since there's reports that Pep's decision for City was fixed as of beginning 2015.

Mario Basler is my favourite player ever so yes I was definitively counting him as one of ours.
Lothar is the other one I'd mention. What a god.
Both surely not averse to one or 15 Hefeweizen.

Re: #23 - Arturo Vidal
Wait, so Vidal for Chile does all the tippy tappy passing, is extremely creative and roams around the field and links up play using his extraordinary agility/dribbling in tight spaces? Either Chile don't use Pep's system or Vidal turns into someone else when he plays for his NT. I'm banking on Chile playing a more aggressive style with the possession not being as intricate as Pep requires of his sides.

Never understood why Chile's style was compared to Pep's teams in the first place.

Pep himself said he that he took a lot from Bielsa and put into his own style of management.
There's quiet clearly quite a lot of similarities, especially considering Bayern's wingers/forwards have a lot of freedom in much the same way and how the midfield and back 3 operates.
If we are talking about Barca then sure, but Bayern are very different to Pep under Barca.

Pep is the master of false humility and over-the-top praises though. If you asked him directly, he'd tell you that he also learned a lot from Mourinho. Pep Coach of The Year speech in 2011: "First of all I want to share this award with Mr. Mourinho ... blablabla"

Even ignoring that this Bayern has more in common with Chile and Bielsa teams than it does Spain and Barca IMO.
To the point they fall away at end of seasons.

Re: #23 - Arturo Vidal
The thing with Vidal is his style doesn't maximise the effectiveness of Pep's system. Like I said, players like he or Khedira can play a role and to some extent can be classed as good or successful, but they won't maximise it due to their skill set.
Maybe that's what Vidal does for Chile?

Re: #23 - Arturo Vidal
Well his role isn't the same as it is for Chile even if i do believe the system isn't that drastically different because Bayern have more players who can perform the role.
He plays a lot closer to Sanchez and Vargas than he does to Lewa and Muller for Bayern.
