Our wage structure does allow for a marquee signing Hans. We just need the marquee signing to want to come to Liverpool Laughing

What I am saying is that we cannot win any sort of bidding war whether it's wages or fee against the big boys.

Nobody benches Gerrard, god says so. Henderson does what Khedira does no better no worse. Khedira can't do what Coutinho/Lallana can do.

I went there, Its a beautiful city from a tourist's point of view. People were friendly probably cuz they i had come to catch a game at Anfield. I liked it better than Birmingham, Manchester but obviously London is completely different.

Khedira could be decent. But would he want to come to Liverpool?

when I think of 'marquee' names that Pool could realistically attract, I think of Lavezzi, Sanchez, Higuain those type of players that aren't cream of the crop but are well known and almost at that level.

Reus. Next summer his release clause is £27m, if we offered £50m+ plus now Dortmund would agree. No way they don't take double now. His wages aren't astronomical at Dortmund either I would imagine. The only stumbling block is getting Reus to actually agree to come to Liverpool. HUGE stumbling block Laughing

Disagree. Like Nishy said, I think players, like fans, don't believe you're a team that can consistently get CL football right now, especially after selling your only world class player. a year from now if you do it again everything changes completely, but right now I think we're still a more attractive destination even if we don't have CL next season.

Rodgers said that to make his position look good and what Liverpool fans wanted to hear. Nothing wrong in what he said, but it wasn't true. It's the same as Mourinho saying Cesc always wanted to join Chelsea which was garbage.

What Nishy said was one of the main reason why Sanchez joined us. It was between us and Juventus in the end. While Sanchez himself said it was because he wanted to work under Arsene. Arsene can pull any player he wants. He has that reputation. And Us and Juventus could offer stability of Top 4 finish as well.

Everyone, also Utd fans re Hummels, keep misjudging what Dortmund is about at the moment.
Their main goal right now is to have as competitive and strong a team as they can have. It's NOT to make money by selling players.
They are financially healthy, and contrary to what you think there's NO WAY they will sell one of their two remaining superstars now, after Lewandowski is gone.

Not going to happen, the earlier you realize, the better.
