This Brazil team severely lacks creativity, first thing Felipao should do is to add Coutinho to the squad.

What I would do:
----------Victor-----------
-Danilo---TS---DL---F. Luis-
--Hernanes-Gustavo-Oscar-
--Lucas--Neymar--Coutinho
turned into a 442 when defending.Really balanced yet very good offensively unlike this team.
What will happen when Tite takes over no one knows, he likes to change formation depending on the opponent from 4-1-4-1 to 4-2-3-1/4-3-3.I think he will definitely go with Neymar as false 9 as he won the libertadores without a CF.
During this year a lot of new players will show up though, both in Brazil and in Europe. And we will finally have a lot of competitive games after 4 years in qualifiers and 2 Copa Americas.

Also Fernandinho needs to gtfo.He is a great midfielder, but he is 29 and he was by far our worst player yesterday. No place for him.hopefully Casemiro steps up this season. We need him.

Hernanes is awful. Fernandinho is ten times the player. We don't have to and shouldn't get rid of everybody all at once just because they won't play in the next WC. There's a Copa America next year and Fernandinho can still be useful.
And when did Casemiro become good? Does Real Madrid's B team have that much of an effect on players' ability?

The decline of the Brazilian attacking midfielder has been saddening.
We went from the powerful Rivaldo..
To the iconic and dominant Ronaldinho..
And then to the intelligent Kaka...
To *bleep* Oscar?

Re: you're the coach of brazil post-world cup , what line-up would you use in the next friendlies ?
It's safe to say Jogo Bonito is on the backburner for now. It sucks because of the names mentioned there isn't too much of a step up, aside from maybe Coutinho and not really a candidate for CF. From R9 and in form Adriano Leite to Fred is a big fall. Like it's been said though it's not Fred's fault, there was just no one else.
Other possibilities I haven't seen here are Rever at the back who I've only seen in Copa Lib. and was decent. And do you guys think Alan Kardec or Luiz Adriano from Ukraine could give Fred a good run for his $$?

4-3-3 lineup:
D Alves
Rafinha TS Miranda FL
Gustavo (even after Germany game)
Coutinho Fernando
Lucas LuizAdriano Neymar
Possible subs: Dede, Marquinhos, David Luiz, Doria, Marcelo, Danilo, Fernandinho, Douglas Costa,Taison, Pato (I guess), L. Piazon, Kardec.
Some of these choices are wtf but it might as well be time that the players in Eastern Europe get a look. Brazil needs new blood after all

Rever is beyond awful.
And even though I agree that certain players have to go let's not act like this debacle isn't on Felipao. Germany have more talent and would have probably gone through regardless but we were a collection of disorganized individuals who let the pressure get to us.
It's not like you need world class players in every position. Look at Argentina. They have Romero, Demichelis, Garay, Zabaleta, and Rojo at the back and have not given up a single goal in the knockout stages. The Argentinian team as a whole haven't been exceptionally great but they're doing a good enough job and have a shot at winning the WC.

Re: you're the coach of brazil post-world cup , what line-up would you use in the next friendlies ?
I think all these options of guys playing the 10 need to be forgotten.
Neymar should play there, he is clearly the man in this team in attack and just put him in the middle where he can get on the ball as much as possible.
Not these questionable, young guys who nobody has a clue about when wearing that Brazil shirt.
Coutinho, Firmino or any of the current options.
If there is one thing Scolari got right, it was putting Neymar in the middle.

Re: you're the coach of brazil post-world cup , what line-up would you use in the next friendlies ?
It's not about where Neymar plays best, he has to play false 9 simply because we don't have a CF atm and he can do a good job there as we have seen under Menezes and Barca. Or else we will end up like Portugal with a utterly useless #9 and great talent behind him.
A lot of people talking about Firmino, idk if he will get called up right away.few people know him here in Brazil.got to say I don't know much about him myself. Then again Gustavo came out of nowhere when he got called up

Like Gustavo, Firminho needs to transfer from Hoffenheim to a bigger club first and continue to shine there, I guess.

Subs to work around with:

If I know Brazil tho, new talents will pop out given time. Also, Diego Costa would so be the star CF of this gen if he joined. Oh well. Shout out to Lima & Alan Kardec.

Apparently they have reached out to Pellegrini but he has rejected them.

I meant RG, because he said Brazil should get back to their way of football.
Which I agree with.
But I also agree Dunga might be the best they had in a while. Though his selections we questionable, he had a good plan which worked.

Re: you're the coach of brazil post-world cup , what line-up would you use in the next friendlies ?
I don't know anything about managers in Brazil atm. If there is someone who can play joga bonito or anywhere close to it then it's worth a try to get him. As long as he makes Brazil tick though.
However as Dani said, Dunga's Brazil was a great functioning team. He even made Melo look World Class and Elano worthwhile.
Highly doubt Brazil will ever get him back in but for me he would have done better than Scolari. It's like how Low learnt from his past mistakes. Playing great got him nothing. Playing efficiently got him the WC. Scolari had neither of those qualities while Dunga at least has one of them.

No Brazillian coach will make us play pretty. We will only go back to our old playing style when a foreign coach is in charge.
Leonardo and Tite will probably take over soon, so we'll see how it goes.

The 3-5-2 would have great in this WC because we had Marcelo and Dani Alves starting who are more wingers than anything. We don't necessarily need to use that particular formation if we play more balanced fullbacks.
