You don't want to see statistics Alexis vs Hazard, because you would be embarrassed after that post.

He is the best "attacking midfielder" in england hands down.

He's got competition now though that De Bruyne is there.

Currently nobody disagrees with it. It's just the general notion portrayed that Alexis is better than Hazard.

I don't think they are that much apart tbh. Hazard is more of a creator but Sanchez is more of a scorer and creator and match winner.

He's easily the 2nd best player in the league but gets way less hype compared to some others.

Maybe if he was German/Argentinean/Brazilian , it would've been a different story.

Or maybe PL marketing team consider it beneath their level to project a Barça flop as one of the stars of the league.

Could be a mixture of both I suppose hmm

nah i think arsenal just suck at hyping their players, and they dont have enough fan boys in the press hyping up what they do or their players.

If he was playing for Liverpool, he would be getting the Suarez special wanking fest treatment from the BPL

It doesn't help that we haven't done anything notable in Europe or convincingly challenge for the PL.

Technically they are not a match, that's almost like saying Walcott and Silva are a match technically.

Sanchez constantly has a heavy first touch and loses the ball were Hazard never would.

I have been very critical of Hazard on here and rightly so IMO but Sanchez isn't even close technically.

Let's not exaggerate. Sanchez doesn't 'constantly' have a heavy first touch nor he loses the ball due to his lack of technique. He loses the ball because he likes to dwell on it. If anything, it's mentality rather than technique.

I'd agree that Hazard is slightly better technically but it's not a mismatch. More like Fabregas-Ozil than Walcott-Silva

My argument is overall abilities, both have strength and weaknesses that set them apart and define their style. but walcott-silva comparison is way too wide... I dont disagree with you with things like first touch, hazard has greater control.

My point saying that was just to mention that i am not comparing Nolito and Neymar here

Let's forget all the technicality and other fancy stuff for moment and ask ourselves one question ' team is 2 down inside first half in knockout stage of cl or must game match of league players have starting to drop shoulders who would I prefer Hazard Or sanchez' I hope not many of us would pick hazrd. No hard feelings for hazard though quality player in almost every aspect. What I don't like about players lyk him is they are good only when the team is playing good. When surrounding is not so encouraging they tend to shut down I have seen many times hazard doing this. On contrary Sanchez has always been a blue collar workbee who is more Impressive when team is not doing well. Hazard has better qualities and skill than Sanchez yet I would prefer Sanchez only for his character and grit.

09-16 League + CL

Games Hazard 258 +14% - 227 Alexis
Goals Hazard 74 - 84 Alexis +14%
Assists Hazard 68 +45% - 47 Alexis
Key Passes Hazard 593 +66%- 358 Alexis
Through Balls Hazard 67 - 99 Alexis +48%
Dribbles Hazard 792 +78% - 446 Alexis

Surprised, Mr Nick actually escapes with the previous notion, although he still should feel slightly ashamed.

Lets interchange Hazard and Sanchez's teams and see...Technically like mole said Hazard is better. Sanchez is by far better scorer but creativity wise and general link up play Hazard is superior.

why does hazard have to be a goal scorer? if he is not that just how it is, he either is or isn't a superior player to sanchez, going by the posts, he has superior abilities other than scoring which is ok, hazard ghosting isn't something being a good scorer can fix anyway.

Sanchez is too "chaotic". He goes from slipping and losing the ball to scoring screamers within the same game. He needs the freedom to do whatever he wants otherwise in a more strict tactical scheme he loses all confidence. Was easily the most irritating player I've seen at Barca. Maybe Harmonica can provide the gif against Manchester City in his last season at Barca, a counterattack where he could have easily been 1 on 1 with the goalkeeper if he didn't ... well, trip over the ball. Laughing Exemplary. His dribbling was also hilariously bad, he always tried to take on player but he was bad at it. Ever since, I have difficulties to rate him too highly, no matter what he does now for Arsenal. His 3 CL goals in 3 seasons at Barca certainly don't help his reputation. Without wanting to rustle anyone's jimmies, I'd say Arsenal truly is his level.

Hazard, I don't know. Needs to come and prove himself in GOAT Liga. But I feel he would adapt better to the demands of true elite teams.

Seems like Barcelona was a poor club for him to go to more than anything else. Or that he is getting better coaching at Arsenal. Somehow all of those bad traits have disappeared magically.

Well yes, he needs freedom, like 95% of attackers out there, specially when you want them to lead.

Hazard does need to move, and he does need to show he can lead.

Right now a team "led by eden hazard" doesnt scare anyone, when you know 8 out of 10 he will choke and crumble.
