Encouraging stat
Evra has been solid for france these past 2 games. Put in another good shift against the swiss.
Valencia currently playing v honduras. Needs to have more influence on this one than in his previous match.

Re: United at The World Cup 2014
Fellaini was shit. I thought he could have had more runs into the box, he's chest control remains immaculate though
Adnan not involved, again. Apparently he got the hairdryer treatment from Wilmots in training for being too sloppy, whatever that's supposed to means. Anyway, last time Januzaj got a hairdryer treatment, was from Fergie after a reserves match, and that spurred him into some incredible form so hopefully he reacts well to this too.
Nani, later on, against USA, save us from Young, play well.

Re: United at The World Cup 2014
Yes Nani. Took that goal well, hasn't been that good since though.
Fellaini is basically playing like the everton version of himself. A version we won't see at Utd, for obvious reasons.
I never thought Januzaj would feature at this world cup unless it was a dead rubber game, which the next one is, but I still don't expect him to feature.
I think wilmot brought him to gain some experience of a big tournament and its surroundings.

Re: United at The World Cup 2014
Nani has had more bad moments than good moments, but at least he's gotten a goal and hit the post, so he's improving. He's showing that he can offer something as a squad player at least.
Yeah, I thought that too about Januzaj, but Belgium's AMs and wingers haven't been great during this tournament so I thought he'd get a go as a sub. I personally think he's better than Mirallas, I guess Wilmots doesn't think that.

Re: United at The World Cup 2014
Van Gaal's Netherlands finish the group with an impressive 9 points from 3 games. Outperformed at times, but still know how to win. Reminds me of a certain someone
Mata also scored today, takes United's World Cup goal tally to 7 now.

Re: United at The World Cup 2014
I thought Nani was pretty damn awful last night. Took his goal, but for the rest of the match, reverted back to the old frustrating Nani we all know- Poor crosses, misplaced passes and poor decisions. Frustrating.
LVG- Has guided his team to maximum points, fair play. My optimism for next season is growing with each passing game the Dutch play.
Mata Utd lead the board for having the most goal scorers so far. (proud)

.......And Chicha adds his name to the list of Utd players to have scored at this WC. Goal poacher's finish that was.
Mexico have been a delight to watch so far.
Now it's Chicha and co against LVG and RVP

Didier Deschamps gave the French squad two books to read in preparation for the World Cup. One was Fergie's autobiography.

Re: United at The World Cup 2014
Belgium is soooooooooooooooooooooooooo shite. wtf is this Walmotts guy doing with that GOAT team. Its extremely hard to understand this.
There seems no strategy whatsover apart from spraying long balls to Fellaini, even that is executing half heartedly.
k then coming to topic. Fellaini has been very good so far. Probably the best player. And Januzaj has shown glimpses of quality.
But alas his involvement has been very limited. Its like these scrubs who are playing today. the likes of Defour, Mirelles and Martens are refusing to pass to him at all. Instead Martens is shooting aimlessly and casually like he is gone full retard or something, messed up a golden chance and yet he is asking for balls all the time.
Wish Januzaj was played in the first team and not along these reserves. The likes of Hazard, De Bruyne and Witsel would have worked well with him.
This team will get KOed at the hands of USand A. Thats for certain btw.

Thought it was only me Ridiculous the amount of times they ignored him. Good defensive contribution from him tonight though.

Re: United at The World Cup 2014
Awful challenge by Valencia. He has been just as bad as he is for United. lol this poor form is terminal. Deserved red.
Evra didn't start, I guess they didn't need with 1st place solidified.
Januzaj made his official debut for Belgium shame he got subbed just as he was beginning to get in his stride
Fellaini put in a typical brute force performance. Nothing special to shout about.
Kagawa and japan eliminated. He has had a bad World Cup, man. Japan were one of the biggest disappointments of this tournament. I expected a lot more from them and they didn't deliver at all.

Van Gaal leaving it til Fergie time.
Unlucky for Hernandez, he's going home. His future should clear up soon now.

Re: United at The World Cup 2014
Who remembers this quote?
van Gaal, sees that RVP is struggling and what does he do? He subs him off and replaces him with a player that made an immediate impact.
Late goals as well. LVG has massive cojones.
Commiserations to Chicha and Mexico though They were oh so close to making the last 8. Football is cruel like that. They were superb in the WC. Added consolation is that atleast Chicha managed to score a goal during this WC. A tally up on his hunt to beat Sanchez's goal scoring record.
I hope we see Chicha at Utd next season, but somehow I doubt it
‘I think if I’d brought him off some people would say ‘What are you doing? You are 1-0 down and you’re taking off your top goalscorer.’
