World Cup 2014 Teams
Brazil :
-Ganso is overrated, Hernanes will play along Oscar IMO in a 4-3-3(Hernanes is a beast)
-Moura can switch with Neymar, playing a false9/trequartista
-Dede is better than any other brazilian CB(except Silva)... Luiz will be a sub.
Germany
-Oezil needs players who can play one-two's around him. Goetze, Reus and Muller/Schurrle are the best options. Thy, Gomez and Draxler will be subs.
-Piggy and Khedira will still be there, Kroos and Gundogan have to wait until 2016 for a starting spot.
-Beck is the best option for full-back, Howedes is faster than Badstuber and Hummels is a must.
Spain
-Xavi and Xabi will be past it, they'll be subs. Fabregas will play the Xavi role
-Carjaval will be a beast by 2014...
-Torres will start because there is a lack of strikers in spain and Muniain will be a great player in 2 years time. The guy can create and score, spain's Messi.
France
Italy
-Insigne can be a choice for the starting 11, depends on how SES develops.
-Chiellini will be a starter for sure, Ogbonna will be challenged by Astori IMO, even Ranocchia.
-Pirlo will be too old, Poli will take over him (Verratti will be 21)
-Santon and Criscito will be the starting full-backs IMO.
Argentina
Belgium
Portugal
Ghana can be a force too

By 2014 I think England will have hopefully changed the style of football. Plus a lot of the younger footballers should be involved.

Re: World Cup 2014 Teams
I can pretty much assure you that Badstuber will play CB if Löw is still the coach. Both Löw and the assistant coaches consider Badstuber to play "almost perfectly as they want to see a CB play". (I can try to dig out the interview where this was said).Kizu wrote:GermanyNeuer

I really hope we will somewhere dig out a proper fullback till 2014 still. Neither of the choices (Beck, Schmelzer and all the other experiments) were really convincing so far.

Italy 2014
Poli is a bit too injury prone already at his age..Plus there were encouraging signs when Prandelli called up Veratti for the prelimnary squad for the EUROS.
Since Italy NT mostly comprises of Juventus players,it will be easy to integrate him into the squad(Provided he plays for Juventus in the future).
Germany
Spain
(*Martinez inclusion is more of a hope more than anything. If it were up to me ,i'd choose him over Busquets)

Re: World Cup 2014 Teams
Only competitive teams yet you do Belgium.
I think you're overestimating the amount of time between now and the 2014 World Cup. It's only two years, so it's highly doubtful young players like Carjaval and Thorgan Hazard are going to be full-fledged internationals and regular starters. I also doubt that players like Xavi and Alonso will be "past it". They aren't going to lose their intelligence and technical ability in two years.
For Spain, if Arbeloa isn't a first choice in two years than surely someone like Azpilicueta will take his spot. For up front, they have Soldado and Llorente still, and that's without considering the possibility of playing a false 9, which could be Cesc or Silva.

Cool Story bro
You miss spelled his name, MONTOYA
Carvajal (still needs to make an appearance for realmadrid:P but, sadly he's going to end at Getafe).
Don't forget Isco, Deulofeu and Thiago
CF? maybe Adrian can prove him self from now until 2014, or Fabregas as a false 9.

Re: World Cup 2014 Teams
Well, in that case Boateng and Bender both need to up their defensive work, I guess. (Boa totally has to try and don't make too many rash tackles. If the tackles work, they are brilliant - if not, he gets booked as he was ever so often or causes a penalty)VivaStPauli wrote:I actually thought both Boateng and Bender were good enough.

Walcott over Adam Johnson and Smalling over Lescott. Welbeck and Sturridge would probably be in over Chamberlain, too.

Re: World Cup 2014 Teams
If Carjaval manages to displace Arbeloa and start for a large portion of 2013-2014 season, I think he could end up in the squad starting.
Alba only became a regular at Valencia this year after all.
Carjaval is a very very similar player to Alba, not sure we want 2 of them, it leaves us defensively vulnerable.
