Daley Blind passes vs spain were fantastic, didnt give up much on his side vs spain either. neat player, great performance.

De Vrij was fantastic as well. Great performance

Barca could do with a mobile, physical left footed centerback who could put in a shift as a defensive minded leftback.

Yeh, Dutch defense was impressive. Will have to see how they do against a more direct and pacey team however.

Dos Santos for Mexico should have had 2 goals and played generally great (was great in WC 2010 too)... Against Cameroon, granted. But he looks like another Vela to me.

although few of the Dutch players were impressive, specially defensively. I think, lof of credit goes to LVG and the yday's tactics. I wont be surprised if same players will get exposed against a strong team.

Australia played good. The way their fans were talking about the team it was as if they were the worst team on the tournament but they did pretty well for themselves. Strayans can hold their head up high.

Repeatedly got in behind Australia's defence however looked terribly shaky with Leckie running at him, a one way performance if ever there was one. Incidentally, Leckie was excellent though it's evident that he lacks the skill on the ball to be a star, but looks like he can become quite a handy player.

Campbell and James were fantastic. I think Sterling will be a stand-out after today.
Blind isn't a big surprise for anyone who follows the Eredivisie. He has really grown into an immense player over the last two years.
