Cavani is a 9. Without services, he's useless. Uruguay's midfield is beyond pathetic... zero creativity. In the end, Cavani had to dezone and play ball recovery so that there was some energy out there. He's not at all the type that can drop into the 10 role.

Same as Falcao. Both these guys need creators behind them.

Catalan newspaper Sport believes Barcelona star Sanchez, who has starred throughout the World Cup, has already rejected the Reds and would prefer a move to Arsenal.

It is claimed Sanchez first priority would be to stay with the Catalan club, but any move to the Premier League would see him choose the Gunners.

Sanchez has supposedly told Liverpool that he's not interested in a move to Anfield.

@MJ - I agree with Sportsy.. I know we are not linked with him, nor can we match his 300k p/w wages.. But some one like him or Falcao, who can bury some of them chances our gamut of attacking midfielders create = JIZZ.

We don't actually make that many chances, though. I know Giroud misses a few but it's not like the 07/08 team that created about five chances per game for Adebayor who'd miss about four of them.

That report is just some crackpot clickbait. Anyway. At this point, any Arsenal player who tries to push through a move to Barcelona should be sat down and shown a documentary about Hleb, Song, Fabregas ...

I think it's best we sign a more experienced RB to be honest. Debuchy a great choice, I dont really trust the new Eboue.

Debuchy makes more sense. At 28/29, he'd be good in the immediate short term while not blocking the way completely for Jenkinson and Bellerin.

No idea what Newcastle's price would be, though. Not the easiest club to buy from.

No idea who that source is but Debuchy would be a solid replacement.

Experienced, PL-proven, has already replaced Sagna in France's XI anyway and would represent a vote of confidence in Bellerin and Jenkinson to be our long-term right backs in the future.

£12m has been thrown about as a number by a few of those tabloid-ish reports from the past week.

He is more than good enough... but a very different player. He's an attacking fullback. Giroud and Ozil would throw a party if he signed.
