The Daily Mail claim Balotelli is Arsenal's main striker target in a £20m move this summer.
Not if it is profit and not fee.
Like I said, all conjecture so it's the all the same, no matter the currency. Was talking about if it were fee as the Telegraph said it was.
Apparently we're after Schneiderlein and Grenier?

So say L'Equipe:
I know we've had a long-standing interest in Grenier, but hard to see us seriously going after him after we just turned Cesc down.

Think We might go for him next year, he has a year. He has a year left on his contract, i remember him signing an extension last year when we were interested.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
I think Arsenal make a run at Grenier since he can be had for a relatively cheap price given his injury-riddled year. Why Arsenal would go for yet another injured player, gawd knows... but there's precedent
Schneiderlin is a good target if Southampton aren't going crazy with the price. If they are crazy, Arsenal will wait until the end of the mercato so that the price drops.
Cabella is the one Wenger SHOULD be after... he was miles better than Grenier this past season.

De Laurentiis calls Arsenal's €20million valuation of Insigne "laughable" and says he wants to make the Italian worth "60-70million"
So let's put that one away for a while lol.

looooooooooooooooool
Bid 60-70m for Benzema and Madrid would 70% consider. Insigne for the same amount

Wenger did say we won't make any moves until after the World Cup, he wasn't joking either.

don't think we would have made any signings this early unless we had someone lined up towards the end of the season like we did with Podi and Giroud.

It would appear the Telegraph are confused then
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/10885520/Arsenal-could-miss-out-on-Cesc-Fabregas-payment-in-Chelsea-transfer-deal-with-Barcelona.htmlTelegraph wrote:Chelsea are trying to structure a deal to sign Cesc Fabregas that would lead to Arsenal missing out on any payment for their former midfielder.
Although Arsenal have so far passed up the opportunity to re-sign Fabregas, they are due around 50 per cent of any profit Barcelona make on the Spaniard.
Chelsea have opened negotiations with Barcelona over signing Fabregas, but would prefer not to end up effectively paying their Premier League rivals Arsenal a percentage of the fee.
The issue is not a deal-breaker and there is hope that progress could be made on a deal this week. But it once again highlights the fact that Chelsea view FA Cup winners Arsenal as direct rivals.
After three seasons back at the Nou Camp, the overall cost of the Fabregas deal so far stands at just over £28 million.
Barcelona have put a £30 million asking price on Fabregas, but Chelsea ideally want to pay £27 million, which would see Arsenal miss out on receiving any kickbacks.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
The article basically says Barca want £2million more than they signed him for. So Chelsea are negotiating to oust Arsenal out of a grand total of.... £1million.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
50 % of the fee Telegraph reported was always going to be BS..It was like Barca payed 33 mill euros to basically co-own a player.
50% of the profit for Arsenal..will be like 1 or 2 million max.

Actually, Arsenal paid a total of 28m according to that article, therefore by paying 27m, we don't pay you anything. That is what the article is saying, anyway.

Barcelona* paid £28m. They want £30m. Thats £2m profit which would leave £1m for Arsenal and £1m for Barcelona. And Chelsea want to negotiate under £28m to prevent Arsenal from getting £1m.
...Now read what I said and what you followed up with.

Ah, right.
Still, we didn't want to give you Ba, why would we want you to have 1m extra?

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
In an interview with Kicker, Brazilian midfielder of Wolfsburg and a target of Inter, Luiz Gustavo, talks about his future.
“It is known that my contract expires in 2018 and that I am happy here but everyone knows that this is a business. Thus, after the World Cup, it is very possible that there will be a few offers coming.”
[25 million-euro release clause]

if him and Schneiderlin cost similar money i would pick Gustavo

You haven't seen Gustavo then... he's a foul magnet. Think Ramires without the ability to attack lol.
