Getting Mangala would require similar sort of money I believe. Barca are after Benatia because he is the cheapest if I am not mistaken so leaving Luiz because he costs too much and then get out battled for Benatia only to then be forced to buy Mangala for a huge sum of money would be funny

45 is his buyout,Pinto Do Costa (Porto chairmen) says thats what you have to pay. He said the same about Hulk (80m buyout) and he went to Zenit for 60. Which is obviously expensive and higher than his worth but still, not his buy out.

Benatia is the cheapest? But how much? Like 30-35? He is 27, Mangala is 23....if anyone wants a CB, they have to pay..its just a fact.

How much are the other better CB's in the world rated compared to Luiz?

Twice as much as we sold Fabregas to Barcelona, just to compare what players were rated a few years back.

I imagine Roma will ask a lot more for Benatia.

Good on Chelsea though, very well done.

If reports are to be believed Benatia should go for between 20-25 ME, City might obviously buy him for 25-30ME, don't think Barca want a long term CB. They believe in Bartra. So having an older guy and letting Bartra be phased in would be a good idea

Mangala is going to go for > 40ME that is alot more than his worth, and the kind of money Barca tried to avoid to pay for Luiz. If Porto were interested in negotiating rather than point to his buyout City would already have bought him last summer. Don't think they are interested in that at all.

lol, i always say this about benatia. Roma sold Marquinhos last summer for 35 millions euros. I will be shocked if they sell Benatia who is far better, regardless of his age, for any less. And clubs looking for a centerback will comfortably pay that.

PSG are not in real troubles with FFP, they can comfortably spend and sell within the limits uefa imposed, and strengthen their team accordingly.

They do need a CB, Alex is not renewing because he is asking for too much (might renew anyway), and Marquinhos is not ready.

He's a WAAAYYYY better fit with TS than with JT. Even you have to admit that. He's going to be better at PSG than he was at Chelsea, that's for sure. But its not as if CB was a massive weakness for PSG either this season so I'm not sure why this would make them win the CL.
