Re: The official Tennis thread
WHAT A MATCH!! That was just so intense and amazing! 5 hours and 53 minutes of the most intense tennis by two of the best players in defence. I really wanted Nadal to win, but at times he just wasn't sharp enough and the world number 1, Novak Djokovic, was decisive when it mattered. Congratulations on your fifth major title, Novak Djokovic!
What a way to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Australian Open Men's Singles tournament, with a match like this. Just incredible. Maybe we'll see how good Djokovic REALLY is - he'll be looking to do what Laver did in 1962 and 1969.

100th anniversary and the longest final ever!
Couldn't have wished for a better final to mark this occasion.

Frederik Løchte Nielsen just won Mens Doucle Finals with Jonathan Marray.
First Danish Grand Slam victory since Frederik's grandfather won the US Open, what a day for Danish tennis, and what an amazing game.
They were also a wild-card team

Re: The official Tennis thread
Murray is one of the most overrated and overhyped sports athletes in the world..No surprise to see him teaching him a lesson again..
Fck him..Hope he never wins a Grand slam ever in his career.

Re: The official Tennis thread
I love the "he did us proud" bolleaux. We are so proud he took a mauling?? An absolute tonking! Is that all we have? Proud to lose 3 sets to 1 and be completely and utter outplayed....
I suppose when you reach 1 final of footy in 75 years and 1 final of tennis as a nation in 75 years, then I guess its about as proud as we can expect....*bleep*ing pathetic if you ask me.
