Soton have confirmed that JRod is out for 6 months with an ACL.
Real shame there.

Eriksen involved in the same amount of goals as Özil
Arsenal bought the wrong AM imo, his chemistry with Bendtner

We really should have gone for Eriksen

Are people really this daft? Rakitic has more goals and assists than Modric this season so he must be better too. Same with Hamsik before Benitez.
Ozil's impact on games transcends stats like all the other great midfielders.

Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V10
The Guardian wrote:Micah Richards, Manchester City's longest-serving player, has reluctantly accepted he needs to leave the club and decided to turn down their offer of a new contract and pay rise.
Richards, with almost 250 appearances for the club since making his debut in October 2005, believes he needs a fresh start elsewhere if he wants to start playing more regularly. City will want around £7m for the 25-year-old.
An excellent decision by him. Many of the mid-table clubs would do well to sign him.

They won't understand this. It's easier to show ignorance.

I agree, though Rakitic is probably better than Modric so it isnt the best example.

Yeah the comparison isn't great lol.... but the premise is correct.
And besides majority of Eriksen's "assists" are from set pieces or crosses.
Not to mention its mostly against awful teams, he's not in Ozil's league. ( i can't believe i actually just said that )

Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V10
Eriksen is a world class talent and one of the finest playmakers in the Premier League yet he has much way to go before he usurps Özil's mark despite showing more to his game and at an earlier age. Comparisons like these are frivolous.
But Rakitic to Modric is a poor example as the former has proven himself to be superior to the latter.

Please, Rakitic did not surpass Modric in any way.
Sure, they are at a close enough level, but Rakitic is not "clearly" better than Modric in any way. Not to mention the fact that both are different kinds of players.

Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V10
Burnley could be promoted to the Premier League this weekend if they beat Middlesbrough and Derby fail to beat Huddersfield. QPR, Derby and Wigan look certainties for three of the play-off spots, with the last one still being contested by about five teams.
Looks likely the three teams to come up will have been in the Premier League before.

I'm hoping Ipswich make a late surge into the playoff spots and win promotion. Mick McCarthy is even greater than Paul Lambert and that's a fact.
Are Derby backed up by a rich owner or what's up with them doing so good? Can't be bothered to dig out the info.
Also, Burnley

Steve McClaren is their manager, I don't think they were doing well prior to him.

Besides, it's the Championship. There's always teams that come from nowhere to push for promotion. Derby were a mid-table team for the past couple of seasons, but they've clicked under McClaren. Ipswich were in relegation trouble not long ago, and Bournemouth are a complete surprise.
Reading, Brighton, Forest and Blackburn also in contention for that last play-off spot.

I have this dream where next season's Championship playoff teams would include Blackburn, Cardiff and QPR and then some fourth team who would win the promotion, so that the clown owners of those three clubs would all explode from rage.
