Adrien Rabiot completed 2.49 progressive passes for Juventus last season, ranking him in the BOTTOM 12% of midfielders in Europe.

Rabiot? Seriously?
As biased as I am towards French players... I even think he's utter shit.

Re: Adrien Rabiot
United signing Rabiot means they also are signing his Mom. Who is basically the equivalent of Cristiano's sister (who by the way is actually Cristiano Ronaldo himself).

we're walking away from the deal apparently
which is why you're seeing us linked with Casemiro etc

Re: Adrien Rabiot
So agents can just pull a figure out of their ass and demand it as payment for the deal to go through? How legal is this and why is FIFA not doing anything about it.

I think it happens more often when the agent is also a family member or a relative of the player. That's the only reason I can think of for players to stay patient and not be bothered by the deal being blocked due to their agent's greed and demands for a hefty commission.

Re: Adrien Rabiot
Yes those agent commission are bs, should be paid by the players, the only reason for clubs to pay that fee is when the agent is facilitating the transfer negociations between 2 clubs
Which is clearly not the case here, both clubs perfectly agreed, in fact the whole Juve board was excited as hell when they received Man U's offer and Agnelli himself was gonna drive Rabiot to the airport. Now Paredes loan is on hold because of Veronique, what a shame really.

Re: Adrien Rabiot
It's an absolute upside down world in football Agents should be the ones facilitating the deal, not bringing it down to a grinding halt by demanding an unreasonable amount of money on top of the transfer fee.

This is the crazy thing. Why are footballers allowing agents to bring down their deals? It makes literally ZERO sense!!!

Re: Adrien Rabiot
Rabiot is catching a lot of slack for his salary demands but put yourself in his shoes. It’s Juventus that signed him on a 7.5 mil deal per year to begin with, giving him a star player salary and now you expect him to decrease his earnings? Of course not. Juventus should have never had him on that kind of contract to begin with, but they were convinced he would become a superstar, joke on them

Re: Adrien Rabiot
It's Juve's fault if this guy asks 9m salary, but here he gets paid 7.5 and played like crap during three years... i did not know salaries must increase regardless of a player's quality

Re: Adrien Rabiot
Would you change job while asking for lower wages? Lol that’s not how business works. You put him at 7.5 mil it’s only normal that he asks for 9 mil on his next move. It’s your fault for paying him a contract he has never earned on the pitch. Now he stays on your book and Juve continues in mediocrity

Re: Adrien Rabiot
Well ok he stays here and we pay 7.5 as the contract says
But you are missing the part of the story in which Juve asked him to find a new club. Unwanted here because not worth his salary and a bit of introspection never hurt anyone. As proof his demands were deemed obscene by Man Utd. They thought Man Utd was dumber than they are, nothing to do with Juve.

Still without a club
Had discussions with several clubs yet nobody is willing to pay the salary he's asking... so overrated

Re: Adrien Rabiot
I honestly thought he was more of a journeyman but he actually spent his career at 2 clubs Not sure why but my impression was that he played for several clubs - possibly because his mother-agent has always been world famous for being a notorious negotiator

Re: Adrien Rabiot
Probably because he plays at a journeyman level. At Juve he was only good for one season and we did not came even close to winning the scudetto.
Somehow every summer you'd read about top clubs wanting Rabiot but they never sign him, the move is always blocked during contract negociations.

We actually sorta desperately need him lol, Eriksen's legs are completely gone and we are light in midfield.

Re: Adrien Rabiot

funnny though, surely not matching his wages at Juve, he thought he would leave and all of the top clubs would be in for him I guess
