Re: Five Times European Championss vs Dim Tim's Headless Chickens
A very fine performance, we were just oozing calmness. Used possession to deflate Tottenham's fighting spirit and keep a constant control of the game, something that I was very pleased to see.
9 - 0 in two matches against them this season, wow. And how utterly bad they looked today? You probably couldn't get those players play worse if you tried. They were absolutely crap, team chemistry 0% and game plan non-existent. I might take a peek into their forum just to see how badly they are slamming their team x)
Hard to name MOTM, by the way, lots of good performances without any of our players actually even having to have superb individual displays - or what do you think?

We are awesome.
Shit scared of our game against City. On paper, they are easier to face than Chelsea but considering the high stakes we have this game...

Re: Five Times European Championss vs Dim Tim's Headless Chickens
Never have I seen a performance in which we oozed so much unadulterated confidence and natural "swagger" as the sight of that is what pinned back Spurs back into their own shell, only ready to observe to rotational movement, tricks, jinks and flicks that tore apart their flat-footed backline who would have raised the white-flag should that rule have existed in football.
For the first time in years before coming into the match, I held no fear of Spurs as they've lost everything that had even the top teams fear their direct play.
We played very well yet Spurs were so excruciatingly poor, that it takes the flavour away from the win. The gap between their midfield and defence, the gaps left on their horizantal organization, their non-existent attack and tactics as it was quite simply a team without ideas, pre-game and within. Sherwood truly is an average manager.
Better teams would have exploited the gaps we leave, as this was an attacking semantic by Rodger's but we've yet to find a team who will see these flaws-City and especially Chelsea will see all over them.
Man of the Match without a doubt is Luis Suarez who I find this was his finest performance of the season. 2nd mention to Steven Gerrard.
@Red Alert: Doesn't excuse the performance vs Sunderland or Cardiff. For every good performance, he's having a worse one.

Re: Five Times European Championss vs Dim Tim's Headless Chickens
I thought Henderson was the best player for us. Some really nice passes, flicks and aside from bottling that one scoring chance was immaculate today. As the commentators said, he was covering every blade of grass on the pitch. Truly such an amazing season for the young midfielder and he will only get better.

Re: Five Times European Championss vs Dim Tim's Headless Chickens
Henderson was very good. It was between him or Sterling for MOTM from me. But it was a really team effort. No player played bad, really.
What. He was one of our best players against Cardiff.
He played bad against Sunderland, granted. But that was he's only "poor" game since his return from injury.

I don't mind if Johnson stays on his 110k wages for a couple of years, but we shouldn't offer him a long contract with those wages.

he needs competition, he tends to get complacent very soon after each 1-2 good performances.

I think he'll have at least Flanagan for competition next season when we'll have Enrique (or other LB) fit for the left hand side. Damn, I miss Enrique.

The whole team played well. I guess I just appreciate certain things more than others, and I definitely appreciate the type of havoc that Henderson brings to the field. He makes the opposing team have to fight for every inch of pitch that they want to take when they have the ball, and keeps them on their back heel with great passes, smart possession and dangerous runs when they don't. He played virtually mistake free and hurried the Spurs at every turn on Sunday, and if he were a bit more composed in front of goal he would have had 2 goals to top it off.
Though as I said, mostly everyone played very well and I can see people having different preferences. I just think that when Henderson plays like that the whole team can play better because the opposing team is so disrupted.

Re: Five Times European Championss vs Dim Tim's Headless Chickens
Henderson was good but it was one of his relatively easier games and he mostly coasted through.Sirgusson and Bentelab hardly put a tackle and were mostly anonymous .
But with Spurs were relatively sitting back most of the game and thus harrying of their defense by Suarez and Sterling was outstanding and was what created most of our chances and goals.

A) What does wages have to do with this; we're talking about PERFORMANCES. He is still KEY to Rodgers, and we won't get anyone better to replace him. He's only game where he was poor since coming back from injury was against Sunderland (where HALF the team was poor to be fair). This "he only plays 1 good game in 2" has the same truth about it as "he can't defend", they're both myths...
B) On wages....... nobody on Goal Legacy/RAWK/Liverpool fans are paying his wages. I have no idea why everyone is bringing up wages into this, especially when both Rodgers AND Glen Johnson have came out and stated contract talks will happen in the SUMMER; not now. So I'm not sure why everyone has the attitude of "get rid, he won't sign a new contract" when there hasn't even been talks yet ffs.
