İlkay Gündoğan vs Toni Kroos

Oh that's tough. Gündogan is a better tackler, and has more pace, his shot is only marginally worse than Kroos', and they're both excellent passers, and have great vision. I just feel Kroos is a bit more composed, though.

It's a bit unfair because Gündogan hasn't been playing for a while, but at the moment I feel like I would prefer Kroos, if given the choice.

Though for Germany, where they'd actually be competing for starts, I'd take them both, Gündogan lying deep, together with Schweinsteiger, Kroos up front, replacing Özil, who is great, but doesn't do what I want for the NT.

Definitely a close one.

Gundogan is more mobile and dynamic. Kroos on the other hand, has the near-perfect passing and shooting technique.

Of course Gundogan's shooting and passing isn't bad. His passing is actually very good, but Kroos' is like I said near perfect.

If both were fit and I had to choose between the two, I would pick Gundogan. He can offer almost everything Kroos does, as well as being much quicker.

Really depends on what your team needs as they play different positions.

Does anyone know if Gundogan is anywhere close to being fit again?

Doesn't sound good, at this point I'm afraid we might go to Brazil without him.

Really? I'm going to go hang myself right now. You have no idea how much I have dreamed of finally seeing our best possible team at a tournament.

Guendogan, Schweinsteiger, Reus, Kroos/Oezil, Mueller, Goetze

The team always looks so damn fluid whenever Guendogan plays.

Those two would be awesome in a 4-3-3 formation.

Yeah I agree with Motogp, but for my ideal team I would pick Kroos over Gündogan.
