And this isn't one of those weird statistics it's because when you mix the selection the Brasil coach can pull from with the crowd and the weather it's basically impossible to beat them at home.

Not to mention I believe Brasil have a better team and a better coach. Germany has a great mix of wonderful players with excellent skills and fundamentals but Brasil has that is spades as well plus a huge, physical and insanely fast team too.

That game vs Spain in Confederations Cup final should scare the crap out of these European teams.

Yeah I heard about that when Spain was heading into the final of Confed Cup and said it then, but anyways anything is possible and Brazil can slip up.

Germany will unfortunately win nothing if Löw persists with the Khedira/Schweinsteiger midfield, I can's see it myself. One of the Bender's has got to be in there even if they don't play for prestigious clubs Rolling Eyes

With Khedira's current injury, it is quite possible that he will not be fit enough to go to Brazil.

Khedira is out anyway, so...
I really wonder whether Gündogan will be fit and in form again for the WC though, if not we're suddenly a bit thin in a position where we were very strong before.

I think Löw might be forced to take the Benders along, which would be a good thing. Lars for his versatility is a good call in any case, and if all things fail, Sven can always tag along and be sneaked in if no one looks and Lars stays at the hotel Razz

You either need a dominant defense (inlcuding keeper) and/or a transcendent striker/player to win the WC. Always been this way.

When the big games come around, there has to be something that can dominate the opponent with very little chance of being stopped.

Their defense is questionable. Lahm isnt defensively sound,Boeteng lacks decision making and Hummels makes mistakes that you refuse to believe is happening in pro football.

Well, I won't comment in general. I genuinely don't know. But in the games I've seen he's had his fair share of mistakes.

Mainly poor positioning, which I understand comes from him pushing forward, and is exacerbated by the structure of Germany's midfield (spaces), so it's something that can be exploited.

Löw always does what our coach does. If Van Gaal puts Lahm on the right, Löw puts him on the right. If Heynckes puts him back to the left, and then back to the right again, Löw puts him back to the left and then back to the right again.
OF COURSE he's 'considering' playing Lahm as DM, and when he does he will pretend as if he just reinvented the wheel.

But that's not even the problem, the problem is when he has ideas of his own, as in the semi against Italy.

It actually is a problem, it's not like Germany have a settled backline WITH Lahm, imagine it without him. We could see Großkreutz, Boateng, Mertesacker, Schmelzer Laughing

I believe a while back Löw said that he would not play Lahm as a DM, I will try to find the link. Schmelzer and Großkreutz as LB and RB and it becomes trouble.

that's so stupid, there are the Benders, there's Gündogan, Kroos has played in the double pivot too, why would Lahm partner Schweini? Lahm isn't even a similar player to Khedira, he plays a different role for us in midfield.

Plus Löw's Kiessling stance is just a farce. Incredible.

You know, we could say the same for Del Bosque, except, we win.

The team is half picked and the way they're going to play is really just a function of how Bayern play. Bar playing Kroos on the right wing again, or something like Lahm in a pivot, there's not that much damage he can do.
