Might even start for Spain if he keeps scoring imo. They're lacking about in the finishing department and Jese is certainly proving he can deliver in that department which should make the burden easier for Spain.

Jese is only 20 and he could start for Spain. But a couple months of playing well isn't going to get him to start for Spain or go to the World Cup.

Great little prospect we got here. Both technical and quick with hes feet. He has matured a lot since the early days, competition with Bale can only do him good.

It was not a pass lol, but definitely kind of goal that a GK will hate to concede. It is kind of humiliating for us GKs.

I don't think it was a pass either. I think he toe poked it because he knew Asenjo would wait for him to control it first. Smart goal just like that little flick against Atleti right underneath Courtois because with Courtois' big body he could not have gone down faster. Kid is really smart. He will get his due rest vs Atleti this Tuesday before the Getafe game

How long is he out for?

6 months. Current season is over for him and he will probably miss pre-season for the next.

He'll comfortably miss the first two months of the next season as well.

here's to hoping for a full and speedy recovery.

6 months min to get back on the pitch... but with ACL complete tears, it takes 1 year to recover 100%. Just one of those things where it takes a while to get the elasticity back. Probably won't see Jese at his best until 2015.

Its a definite thing.

I think precautionary knee support might become a thing in the future, just as a response to this.

As athletes get stronger, fitter and push their bodies more to the limit and impacts become more violent since everyone is stronger... you risk stuff like this. It's like a Ferrari: Very fine tuned but can break easily. Nothing you can do and knee braces are impossible. Even with the best brace, you lose pace and mobility. Just have to deal with the risk of injury.

Eventually, trainers will find methods to improve ligament strength and flexibility like they have in the US...
