Bafetimbi Gomis will leave Lyon at the end of the season when his contract expires, a source close to the player has revealed.
Gomis has endured a mixed season at Lyon having been left out of the side early on in the season, but after talks of a potential contract extension in January, a French journalist has confirmed he will leave the club.
Pierre Menes, a Canal+ correspondent with close ties to Gomis, said: “Of course he will leave at the end of his contract.”

M’Baye Niang has expressed his desire to stay at Montpellier for another season rather than head back to AC Milan.
Niang moved to relegation-threatened Montpellier on a six-month loan deal in January after failing to secure regular playing time at the San Siro and has gone on to score three goals in 11 Ligue 1 appearances.
"I hope to stay in Montpellier. I love this club, it is a family,” said Niang, speaking to Midilibre.fr.
The youngster, who played in France with Caen before moving to Italy in 2012, has marked the final eight league games as his chance to extend his stay into next season.
Niang continued: “When I signed in January I said that I wanted to play here at least another season and this statement is even more true today.
“I want to repay the trust that this club has had in me. Now I have eight matches to convince. It's as if I am on trial at Montpellier.”

Swiss sources claim Liverpool are targeting Napoli midfielders Gokhan Inler and Valon Behrami.
According to infoticker.ch, the Anfield side believes they are valuable reinforcements for their return to the Champions League.
Behrami has experience in the Premier League, as he played for West Ham United from July 2008 to January 2011.
He scored five goals in 62 appearances for the Hammers.
Inler is another Switzerland international and has been at Napoli since July 2011 after a lengthy spell at Udinese.
His other clubs were FC Aarau and FC Zurich, but the 29-year-old has been in Serie A since July 2007.

The only midfielder we've actually scouted is Pjanic. 2 of club scouts and Ian Ayre were in Olympico in Rome at the Torino game .

If Inler was 23 or 24 rather than 29 I'd see him as a solid option for depth or rotation with an eye on him either improving in a few seasons or moving on for a solid price, but as it is he doesn't make a lot of sense.

Inler is shit mate. Connor Coady is better than him.
I'd rather see Jibers on wheelchair play for us than that brainless Swiss Inler.

enough agreed with sepi on inler , he seemed overrated also to Udinese tbh, then seeing him to Napoli I had the confirmation ... not good for high level , for a top club good just as reserve but there is of better also considering the age.
Napoli fans can't see him
If we take Torres on loan

PSG defender Alex not looking likely to sign for AC Milan, according to Sky Italia.
AC Milan have offered him a 2 year contract with an option for a third, while PSG have offered him a one year contract with an option to extend at the end of the season. Alex prefers PSG's conditions.
In the last few hours Manchester United have shown interest in him as well.

Isn't that exactly what I said though? If he were 23 or 24 (and at the same playing level) he'd be a solid signing as a back-up/rotation player, with an eye on the future but at his current age is doesn't make sense.
Sepi just said he's poor full-stop.

Re: 2014 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. I
Prior to his resignation as president of FC Barcelona, Sandro Rosell received an eight-player summer wish-list that manager Tata Martino felt out be the best possible options for his team moving forward.
According to ESPN, who claim to have seen the document in question, unveiled the eight names as; Manchester City striker, Sergio ‘Kun’ Agüero, Lazio striker, Miroslav Klose, Atletico Madrid midfielder, Arda Turan, Borussia Dortmund midfielder, Ilkay Gundogan, Atletico Madrid left-back, Filipe Luis, Borussia Dortmund centre-back, Nevin Subotic, Sunderland (on loan with Estudiantes de La Plata) centre-back Santiago Vergini and Botafogo centre-back, Doria.
If the list is to be believed, Martino has put a heavy emphasis on defence, as four of the eight are defenders (three of the four are centre-backs), while Gündoğan is the loan defensive midfielder, with Turan, Klose, Agüero as forward, the latter two being number 9’s.
However, there report goes on to say that acquiring Agüero would take upwards of €28 million, plus two friendlies and a Barcelona B player, while the Felipe Luis and Arda Turan are considered by Atletico Madrid to be un-movable.

I think that's meant to be "did a check up with an eye on a potential transfer"... i.e. Barca's sent their physio to see how Gundogan's injury and recovery looked to decide if he would recover soon and well enough to be worth pursuing in the summer.

Yea that'd make more sense. by 'performing a checkup' you'd normally associate that with a doctor doing a medical examination on someone.

Re: 2014 Summer Transfer Rumours Mk. I
Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu claims Victor Valdes could yet decide to stay at the club this summer.
Valdes' current contract at Camp Nou is due to expire in June and the Spain international has made it clear in the past that this will be his final season at the club, with Monaco and Manchester City among the clubs linked with his signature.
However, Bartomeu insists he is unaware of any deal Valdes may have reached with another club and says the "doors are open" should he decide to stay when he recovers from the serious knee injury he sustained against Celta.
"We have said to Valdes that the club are at his disposal. At the moment he is concerned about his operation, of course, but he knows that the doors are open to him," he said to COPE.
"We are not aware that he has signed for any club."
Bartomeu also insisted there are no complications with Lionel Messi's proposed new contact, which is set to make him the highest-paid player in the world.
Indeed, according to Bartomeu, it will not be the final deal the Argentine will sign in his career with the Blaugrana.
"He will continue at Barca. It will not be his final contract. I think I'll leave before he does," he said.
"I want Messi to retire at Barca. He is a different player, the best in the world, and we enjoy having him.
"There is no problem with his renewal. We want him to be the best-paid player in the world."
