Re: FC Barcelona - Valencia CF
No balance whatsoever...we are so vulnerable on the counter. Abidal used to form a three-man back-line every time Dani Alves would push up. Now we have Alba and Alves pushing up at the same time, leaving Pique and the one and only Mascherano to fend for themselves. Buquests doesn't drop back either. Instead, we have Messi dropping to midfield, which unnecessarily clogs up the centre + minimizes our goal-scoring threat.
Yeah, Manchester City are going to crush us à la Bayern Munich if we don't get our sh*t together.

I thought Xavi was okay today. Busquet was very careless and his first touch really let him down. Did not help defensively either.

OMG Messi is bad, even for an average Barca player standard he is bad. He does not run, does not pressure (free dont reply on pressing, a player should pressure especially if he is getting payed like Messi), his first touch is awful and he is loosing more balls than there are people in the stands.

Since Messi returned we've dropped points in 3 out of 4 La Liga games. Dude messes up the entire team dynamics. Not moving, not pressing, just standing around, clogging the middle, dribbling past 2 defenders, losing the ball to the 3th. Rinse, repeat. Ronaldo >>>>>>>>>>

Right now, i do not consider Messi even a third best player, hell, he is not even a third Best in our team. Right now Valdes and Nerman are all ahead of him.

Most goals, Messi 1
Most shots, Messi 7
Most shots on target, Messi 3
Most assists, Messi 1
Most key passes, Messi 6
Most dribbles, Messi 9
It's like Messi is playing alone, and others are just running around the field doing feck all.

No no no, Messi had the highest whoscored-rating today. You must be wrong.futbol wrote:Since Messi returned we've dropped points in 3 out of 4 La Liga games. :lol:Dude messes up the entire team dynamics. Btw not that I think it mattered but if the ref gives them a yellow card for time wasting shouldn't he add some seconds at the end of stoppage time?

Re: FC Barcelona - Valencia CF
*bleep* embarrassing defense. Segunda stuff.
Busquets with sloppy passing, just didn't look good at all. Fab did nothing. Xavi was OK but couldn't find a way through.
Messi with a selfish and lazy display today. I honestly was hoping someone would sub him out.

I have been saying this for a while, we need a defensive minded RB. Alves and Alba will backfire 2/3 games against better teams.

Messi is trying too hard (offensively) and does nothing defensively. The rest are trying too hard to find Messi. The defence is not good. We will be raped by Man City if we play like this

Re: FC Barcelona - Valencia CF
Messi doesn't seem clinical this season. Not just this game, he has been missing many big chances a lot for the last months. At the same time, he seems to be shooting more than ever before as well. Its like world cup 2010
And I agree with futbol, in this game some of his dribbles were sexy as, but then kept letting the next defender steal the ball

Re: FC Barcelona - Valencia CF
1) We need defensive cover -> Pique and Mascherano are not going to cut it. Bartra has potential, but he is still young.
2) Messi is dropping as deep as he did during the World Cup. He doesn't have Eto'o and Henry in front of him who can score 25+ goals a season. Instead, we have Pedro and Alexis. Not only by dropping so deep is he clogging up the middle, but also reducing our goal scoring threat.
3) Teams like Madrid, Chelsea, City and Bayern have so much depth. Our squad is very thin compared to a couple of seasons ago. In 2008-2009 we have Puyol, Pique, Milito, Marquez, Caceras, Sylvinho etc. for the back-line.

Re: FC Barcelona - Valencia CF
IMO if we play both alba and alves against big team we are doomed. What happened to messi? He was such a ruthless scorer, nowadays he just drops midfield every single time. Come on tata best finisher in the world can't hide behind midfield.
We are not wining anything this season, not with this lazy shit player.

Re: FC Barcelona - Valencia CF
Up until Parejo's goal it looked like a painful death for Valencia, with Barcelona in full control.
Feghouli is such an underrated player. He works hard, technically is very decent and today he delivered a number of fantastic passes. Thumbs up
Busquets was again sub par. I've said it a few times before this season and I say it again. Numerous lazy passes from a guy who looks like he's playing in the back garden with his friends rather than playing a proper match. Showed no focus all match.
Substitutes were poor. Fàbregas was playing well and with Barcelona trying to attack down the middle I wonder what the introduction of Tello was supposed to bring? The wingers (Pedro and Alexis) were completely invisible in the second half.
I don't know what needs to change with Messi, but I know something has to change. It is not working.

Re: FC Barcelona - Valencia CF
Xavi should be retired, or at least he should not step on the field against though opponents anymore. Fabregas should trade places with some B-player for the rest of the season. Alexis should make way for injured Neymar.

Man this is depressing. Everyone had a poor game really. There's too much wrong with the team now and something needs to be done. Oh well.....

Are PSG still interested in buying Messi? Let's hope so. Has the mobility of a 78 year old granny. Can't believe I trusted this guy and even wore his avatar. Ultimate deceivage. Changing it to the real best player in the world now, fss.

Re: FC Barcelona - Valencia CF
Hopefully Messi moves in the summer, 250M would be the great last service for this club. And the team could then buy the 11 players needed to bring quality this team again, or build the stadium, or pay the debt. Sadly this Barca doesn't deserve Messi anymore.futbol wrote:Are PSG still interested in buying Messi? Let's hope so. Has the mobility of a 78 year old granny. Re: FC Barcelona - Valencia CF
The goal was a pen,the assist was a shitty shot and having the highest shots on target means your finishing is shit, also high dribbling stats because he was selfish as *bleep* today and high key passes because everything was going through him.Useless *bleep* and no coincidence we have been shit ever since he's been back.Neymar was way better as a false 9.Harmonica wrote:Most goals, Messi 1

That's your comment, of the post itself? Aren't you concerned of the quality of these players at all?
