Are Bundesliga and Serie A done?
Bayern Muniche have a potential 13 point lead over second placed Leverkusen and a massive 17 point lead over last year runner ups BVB.
While in serie A Juve enjoys a 8 point lead over second placed Roma...
do you think any come backs are possible in these leagues?

Re: Are Bundesliga and Serie A done?
Bundesliga was over as soon as Bayern brought in Pep.

Re: Are Bundesliga and Serie A done?
Bundesliga: no.
Serie A: definitely, we have peaked already so our form is going to be worse from now on, that's sure. Also, if we take the EL seriously then it will take away a lot of energy while Roma has no European cup representation at all.

Bundesliga was done 2 months ago. Serie A is done if Juventus do not take the Europa League seriously.

Re: Are Bundesliga and Serie A done?
BL was done as soon as Dortmund's injuries started to pile up.
Before that they were 2 points clear of Bayern.
Anyways both are done, does anyone really think Juve will drop 8 points full stop lol? not happening.

I think there's more chance in Serie A than in Bundesliga.

how exactly is a title decided before the season? Those games have to be played, and won, after all.
Would you have anticipated us having more points than last season at this stage? I certainly wouldn't have.

Probably because Bayern would make any league a one team league

Re: Are Bundesliga and Serie A done?
Bundesliga was over by the time the 3rd Dortmund starter got injured, they don't have the bench for crap like this happening.
Serie A might be done as well due to the utter destitueness of all but Juve gunning for the top. Though as I write this, Juve are about to lose to Lazio, and I can vaguely imagine a scenario, where Fiorentina or Napoli catch up to them.

Re: Are Bundesliga and Serie A done?
Bundesliga's title race was over before a ball was kicked. Injuries to Dortmund or anyone else mean nothing, they are bound to happen, the best teams cope with them.
Bayern Munich won the last season by 25 points ffs, of course they were going to win this season, too. The only question is whether they will win by more or less than 25 points.

I have to call bullshit on this one. Complete, utter bullshit.
Bayern won the Bundesliga as many times in the last decade as Man Utd. Utd won the league last year by how many points? 15 or something? So that was decided before a ball was kicked, too?
Like Utd, Bayern had a change in manager as well, in case you forgot.
Dortmund strengthened in summer, Mkhitaryan and Aubameyang were instant hits, and they started off very strong.
This 'it was decided bla bla' is just knee-jerk and hindsight infused talk by people trying to be clever and extra blasé, sorry.
Do you watch the league? Teams like Mainz and Freiburg, or *bleep* Hertha this season, tend to pull off really strong performances against us, every goddamn point has to be worked for, week in week out.
We'll in all likelyhood win the league again as we have a well-functioning team, and because Pep has done some simply outstanding work, more than could ever be expected.
Keeping in mind we had to deal with long term injuries for Schweinsteiger, Götze, Thiago, Martinez, Robben, Shaquiri, Pizarro (and Badstuber of course) and short injuries for Lahm and Ribery.
Dortmund was even more heavily hit by injuries, that's why their comparative lack of depth showed earlier in the season than usual.
None of this is 'decided before a ball is kicked'. Nonsense.

Re: Are Bundesliga and Serie A done?
The only team that could have matched Munich for sheer, awesome power was Dortmund and, as people said, once the injuries started piling up and points were dropped, it was game over for Bundesliga
What team can realistically take points off of Bayern?

No you're right, it's more or less over now, but that isn't a given in the Bundesliga.
It's only since last season that we gain so many points, for the very reason that we have become stronger.
In earlier years, we (and others) were able to win the league with around 70 points, then Dortmunds back to back titles destroyed that calculation. They were consistently strong, and we had to improve as well. Now we've reached a point where the engine is purring, but that doesn't mean it works all by itself.

Re: Are Bundesliga and Serie A done?
So many people on here never watch games of certain leagues and still think they are so clever and know all. It's just embarassing. As Hans said every point had to be earned and Bayern could've easily dropped points in a lot of games. Especially in the first two or three months many fans were not too happy with the defending and it was only poor finishing from the opposition that made the numbers look so good. Of couse you would only know such things if you actually would watch the games.
And yeah of course Bayern were favourites to win the title at the start of the season but no - it certainly wasn't decided back then.
