looking like Xavi is leaving and Gundogan is going to Barca in the summer.I dont exactly see Xavi in Gundogan but it would be one of, if not, the best possible replacement.

I don't know if Barca will sign Gundogan but you have to be pretty insane if you think they won't be interested Laughing

They will try to buy him just so Madrid don't, pretty obvious tbh.

Which is why i laugh at the pure notion of Man Utd having a good chance even if Madrid don't want him.... you don't think some others won't want him?

Everyone and their mother will write out the blank cheque if he comes back as the player he was before injury.

Can't believe the Xavi story though, always felt he would retire at Barca but Di Marzio keeps talking about so there must be some credibility to it.

Henry and Xavi together again tho :fap:

Why the *bleep* would we need Ranocchia?

Ask it to Conte, he is madly in love for Ranocchia rofl

If Xavi really leaves Barcelona and he did hint that it is hard to retire at Barca plus Sky Italia are somewhat reliable AFAIK, Barca would of course sign a world class talent. There is no way we're going into next season with only 2 senior CMs, 1 of them being Cesc. So Gündogan would make an awful lot of sense. Think that's why Mehdrid extended Lolonso.

First Nerman then Gündogan. Get in line Mehdrid, we get to pick first. :proud:Watch them sign Pogba for € 80M short after. Proud

When Alonso signed his contract it became obvious that we would probably not sign Gundogan. Modric is doing very good and Illarra is improving every game. No reason to unsettle them now.

I am more interested in us signing players like Vidal, pogba or strootman

Since your a R.Madrid fan, I can assume you know that we play Cesc and Iniesta and Xavi for very different roles right? Cesc and Iniesta are actually in the same spot, attacking mids. Xavi's role is to stay farther behind them and control and hold the game connecting the play from the back to the attacking options. So Gündogan would suit that role nice. Only way Cesc starts is if Iniesta bounces which ain't happening. Even Sergio Roberto plays the attacking role that Iniesta/Cesc play

Tata's messed around using both Cescs and Iniesta under his system and it seems like it could work, but the verdict is still out on that. We need a balance and having both Cesc and Iniesta in the midfield isn't it. We need somebody who plays a bit farther back near Busquets, like Xavi. As of right now, for ALL the crap people give us for having too many mids....we are actually very thin in the pure CM department. Nobody good enough to back up Xavi at all. Only player we have is JDS and he's out for the season and he isn't good enough for us. Then Song backs up Busi, which is nice. You have Cesc and Iniesta rotating, which is nice. But who backs up Xavi or plays in his role should he decide to leave? Exactly...

i dont really care about what role he plays, it's about status. Cesc and his agent already threatened you of leaving, and if it's not made clear to cesc that he is going to play that Xavi role, he is gone.

Barcelona midfielder (33) Xavi has accepted an offer from American team New York Red Bulls to join them after the World Cup. [sky]

Dafuq?! Is this really happening?

Xavi. Sad Who's going to criticize the state of the away pitches and the bunkerfootballism of our opponents now? Iniesta isn't vocal enough for this role. Sad

What's the problem? You said there are many stronger players than Wilshere in cantera, therefore I image the level is so high.

What status does he have? He came back to us after being gone forever so that makes him a senior member of our team? He's been with us what, 3 years? That's not a whole lot, if he wants to leave because of playing time then he shouldn't let the door hit him on the way out. He knew what he was getting himself into when he signed for us. No player is bigger than the club. I would be ok with Rafinha and Sergi backing up Iniesta and Gündogan next season if Cesc wants to keep crying (not saying I want him out, but you get my point)

There are. Rafinha >>> Wilshere. But Wilshere isn't exactly the standard we are looking for to win trophies. Sad

Would be idiotic of the club to sell one of our best buys, in a position that actually needs a starter and coverage. Nevermind that we purchased him for pennies. I can only assume this is happening because of Bentaleb who has done "okay" since getting action. If this happens though I'll start the campaign for Levy and Baldini's head myself. I'd rather send the kid out on loan than lose such a talented player who I thought was superior or at least equal to Sandro.

The only player I would let leave the club on loan is Chadli as I think he could be quite talented with a little more development, but he's not a starter right now even though he's pretty good coverage. However, I would be okay with permanently losing Paulinho or Sigi.

Thought you meant the right back at first. Then I realized you actually meant yet another scrub in the long list of scrubs pumped out by the Barcelona youth conveyor belt who are loaned out forever/sold before they even have a chance to mouth "mono" to Marcelo
