He had to play, If he didn't and the deal didn't go through, he wouldn't play for the next 6 months!

I am hearing it will be announced on Tuesday.

Sky Sports saying 20m pound bid has been submitted for Matic.

The fact that we bid that high shows that the club is expecting him to be sold for around 30m pounds.

Definitely going to get rejected.

Selling De Bruyne this term definitely has freed up money for an expensive buy this term, and no doubt that's why the club didn't wait to sell the Belgian in the summer.

I think Chelsea will be willing to pay just under 30m pounds.

Far from a deal done though.

The negotiation is in the final stages. The agent for the player flew to Lisbon to negotiate with the Portuguese club, Matic appears to be on his way out. Tomorrow the deal with Chelsea should be completed. Benfica will receive between 22 and 25 million euros

He's worth more then 22-25mil euros for sure, especially at this time of year, if we can sell KDB for ~17mil then this would have been a very productive window for us
