The new year is just around the corner and that can mean only one thing, January Transfer Window.

Jose Mourinho has already said he is happy with his strikers and that means that there will be no changes there, no one in and no one out. That leaves the Pivot as the last main area of weakness and with Van Ginkel out for basically the season, a new CM is very likely. Recently we've been linked to Rakitic which could hint at our intent to strengthen this area.

Another possible change could be to do with our players with 6 months on their contract, Cole, Lampard and Terry all only have 6 months left when the new year rolls around so perhaps the club could look to ship one or two off, especially considering Azpilicueta's form at LB. David Luiz has been linked with a move away and before his injury was out of favour with Jose, Perhaps a move to Barca is on the cards? Mata is another who has struggled for game time but his recent form might be enough to convince Jose to keep playing him.

Loan deals are likely to be the main feature with loan moves for Chalobah, Ake, Omeruo and De Bruyne all possible.

I think you all know who I want in January, however, Yohan Cabaye has commited to Newcastle till seasons end so perhaps we'll have to look elsewhere. It will certainly be interesting to see if we do strengthen in CM over Jan.

I'd like us to go for Shaw on a loan back.

I'd also like us to put in a bid for Cabaye, 20m odd, see if we can convince him. If that doesn't work, try Montolivo, Witsel, Herrera, Rakitic, Or even someone like Howedes and play David Luiz in the pivot.

I seem to recall Rakitic playing in the pivot during his Schalke days, he plays as an AM now but I think he could play there, granted he has the defensive ability.
