I am not entirely convinced with costa either, I have to see how he fares in the world cup. I dont feel costa has a great link up play, which is what we need in a new striker- another downside to lukaku.

@uncanny - Costa's link up play at Athletico is really good, if u watch La Liga. Remember Spain play a different style compared to AM. Besides it was his first game with Spain and needs time to understand team mates.
I think with Costa (Torres swapped) & Lukaku together and Hopefully Drogba coming in an assist coach guiding them, We should be good.

Actually think Lukaku will be shipped out this summer. We could be looking at an entire refurb of the striking department.

I've said it loads, an on form Ramires is a boss. It's a shame everyone has forgotten because he has been so off form recently.

He said we should change our formation to best accommodate Ramires.

Kick's not wrong about Ramires bossing it when he's on form but for me his greatest asset was his stamina combined with his pace on counters. But now that we've got Matic for the tackles and Willian for the counter attacks, the current passing game doesn't suit him at all.

Matic
Ramires Oscar
Schurrle/Willian Eto'o Hazard

By all accounts Oscar has been poor in his advanced role, drop him deeper, make him focus on passing, have Ramires running like he does, make Matic hold and have the pace on the wings = good team.

I agree that Ramires bosses if he is on form. But most of the time he's just running mindlessly, crashing into people mindlessly, and passing the ball hoping it'll reach a Chelsea player but it doesn't lol. I still love the guy, that goal versus barca was probably my personal favorite moment of him.

I actually felt bad for the guy that he didn't get a goal. Absolutely destroyed Arsenal

Me too. If only for the "7-nil, even Torres scored" chants that would invariably have ensued

Di Marzio: Chelsea open to loaning Torres to Inter:
Fernando Torres is among the strikers the Nerazzurri are eyeing for next season, and the Spaniard is the most likely to join as Chelsea are willing to let him depart for there on loan

How does the loan process work when he's on a 250k a week salary, do we or inter pay the wages lmao, because inter won't pay that much for anyone.

He's on 175K a week. Been pretty well documented. But like Kick said, it all gets negotiated when the deal is being hashed out.

Re: Torres – Boyhood club return or boyhood club ruin?
He's not the reason why we lost today, but I think it is safe to say that having him as the direct replacement of a precarious Eto'o or in some matches the starting striker might very well be the reason why we won't win the PL this year.
I mean how is it possible?
I understand it when we trusted him in the 11/12 season, I mean we splashed 50m on him 6 months earlier you can't just offload him like that.
It was understandable when we trusted him in the 12/13 season, it was his first season as our uncontested starting striker, we finallybought a lot of attacking players that we lacked in the past years so yea. But why this season too? In the meantime Sturridge and Lukaku are making the fortunes of their clubs and the reason why they're not with us at the present time is because we wanted to stick with Torres.. unbelievable .
Sorry about the rant btw
