When he has a bad game (and he did in the weekend against Hull) he follows it up with an absolute incredible performance
And also Norwich are his whipping boys.

That is exactly how i envision them against SuarezBetty La Fea wrote:
They are scared shitless of him, quite embarrassing really Suarez is one of the best players in the world but its really a losing battle if you don't even believe you can defend him.
Which Norwich clearly don't, reminds me a little bit of how teams used to feel when going to Old Trafford.
Game was over before it began because they were scared shitless.

Only ten of the other nineteen teams in the Premier League have scored more goals this season than Luis Suarez so far this season... he was suspended at the start of the season and missed out on the opening 5 games.
86 goals and 51 goals in just the PL.
106 games, 64 goals, 33 assists in all competitions.Red Alert wrote:Luis Suarez' stats in the Premier League.
81 games
155 shots on target
44 goals scored
12 assists
17 yellow cards
Let's not forget he was playing with scrubs like Downing, Carroll, Charlie Adam etc. And he played almost 6 months last season playing next to 17 year old Raheem Sterling and 18 year old Suso. Amazing.

Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V3
He's never scored 1 goal from a penalty at Liverpool.
He's had two attempts (from the top of my head) at penalties and missed them both. Which is surprising, because he never seemed to missed them at Ajax or for Uruguay.
__
Loved the way Luis ran straight to the free kick (that led to his fourth goal) when Gerrard was putting his boot back on.

Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V3
Suarez had an excellent night but Hazard personal performance runs him close. Not enough superlatives to describe how well he played yesterday.
Gus Poyet on Hazard: Hazard was unplayable. I don't remember a player performing at this level against me as a manager. We tried everything. We needed another football.' wrote:
Wish he had the fire and assertiveness to play like this week in week out. In terms individual ability I doubt anyone in the League is more talented but there are too many times he doesn't play like it. Passive Eden is incredibly frustrating to watch.Jose on Eden after the game: "I don't like to single out individual performances after a game but tonight I have to be cause Eden was incredible." "He is a funny boy, Eden. He doesn't worry about things, he just enjoys himself." "Yesterday at dinner, he said to me 'I haven't scored in a while, boss', I told him 'so, score'. He said 'okay, I'll score tomorrow', so he just decides to perform today and be incredible. He was unplayable. He just destroyed a very organized defense by himself." wrote:

This is why I don't think Liverpool will ever sell him for anything less then 60.

Fabien Delph's goal to sink Soton. Should be getting a lot more recognition, amazing strike.
@ Gil: Any gifs of Hazard's goal? Heard it was incredible.

if he shot also penalties I think the boomakers would not even listed on the winner of the top scorers
Suarez technically is complete as very few players ... He can score in ALL ways , and he has also become great to shoot free kicks...
I loved him already when he played in Ajax ( I remember he pained Alessandro Nesta in a CL match) and he he is also improved over the years ( how normal it was..)

He missed against Sunderland and I know he missed 1 more, can't remember which team it was though. I do remember he scored right after it just like how he scored against Sunderland.Robespierre wrote:yes I remember he missed it against Sunderland...

I always wanted to see Ibra and Suarez play together at Ajax, what a partnership those two would have been. Sadly they played at different times to each other. Those two on the same team would of made Ajax a force in Europe just as a duo, only if they played at the same time!

Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V3
Best I could find.
The goals were clutch and out of this World and so was the assist but it was his overall performance that was the cherry on top.
They couldn't get the ball off him....literally. 12 dribbles, no turnovers and no dispossessions. 90% passing accuracy. This isn't some Bundesliga type stats inflation either, every one of those 12 dribbles happened. They were all majestic, purposeful and effective.
He was like Messi out there tonight. Bardsley had no answer for him and even when Poyet sent Giaccherini to double him before he even touched the ball, the 3rd goal (his 2nd) happened.

Chelsea has the problem of being a bit predictable this year as team , Mourinho needs of this Hazard absolutely because he is good as few to give unpredictability. Hazard is "predestined" ,the classic player who has everything to win the Golden Ball in future

That Sunderland v Chelsea match was incredible lol. Bardsley scored an O.G then about 5 mins later scores the other end. Hazard was top class.
Suarez's first goal was brilliant...and that free kick too. Other BS aside, he is a truly world class talent.
