FIFA apparently cancel photoshoot with Ribery, meaning he won't win Ballon d'or, according to Punto Pelota.

The lad is playing on perhaps the most stacked team since Cruijff's "Dream Team" yet it's all about him lol. Completely disregarding his teammates.
The only reason Tristiano renewed his contract, when Perez assured for him that he'll use his good relationship with Blatter (the Madrid member) to help Tristiano win the Ballon d'or
First making a joke about Tristiano, people will feel bad for him and he'll get more votes. Then extend the voting period when Tristiano is in form
Perez-Tristiano-Blatter master plan to give Tristiano the Ballon d'or.
The funny part, Messi will win it again [although this time its going to be very close].

Ronaldo and Ribery are begging for Ballon Dor. Big campaigns, media talks, 45000 masks, extended votes etc..
Messi and his team dont make any campaign. Messi wins awards like a boss, not begging

What they said? Rossell is a clone. What Martion and Alves said? Alves praised Ronaldo, said he is close to Messi. Martino never talked about Ballon Dor. But Ancelotti every day talks about Ballon dor and RonaldoZealous wrote:lol So I was imagining all those quotes made by Rossell, Alves, Martino etcEssey wrote:Ronaldo and Ribery are begging for Ballon Dor. If you deserve it even your rivals will vote for you (like Casillas voted for Messi few years ago before Ronaldo cried and Perez punished him) no need for campaign

What do you expect when people go for a popularity contest? They try to sway the majority of the voters by any means necessary

Re: OFFICIAL: FIFA Ballon d'or 2013 - Voting extended
Quotes rarely arise from a vacuum, regular responses of this nature from players or coaches simply reflects the types of questions that are being constantly posed in press conferences. This is a topic which is known to attract significant attention and thus the likes of Ribery and Ronaldo have to deal with a virtual barrage of questions on the matter, something that is hardly their fault or reflective of their personalities. As for their answers, they are perfectly within their rights to say that they feel they deserve it. There are very few truly humble players within the elite tier of footballers and arguing about who is the most gracious is an utterly pointless exercise. Personally I can't wait for the award to be given out so we can close this farcical thread.

Re: OFFICIAL: FIFA Ballon d'or 2013 - Voting extended
I think Ronaldo will win the award to be honest, and I think he is very deserving. I just hope people didn't decide to vote for him just cause of his hat trick vs Sweden. It's a full year award, not a one game award, and it's a shame that by extending the deadline it will now always look like it was done just so he could win the thing.
To note though, speaking of full year, it's impossible to not mention that Bayern did win a treble. Ribery was very instrumental, and the award isn't about who can score the most. Messi spent the first half of the year on a horrible team lead by Roura and then Tito, and then the 2nd half of the year he's been battling injuries thus hindering his performances (by his standards). Just cause of the treble, and the fact Ronaldo didn't win anything...I would cast my vote like this
1 or 2, no matter in which order : Ribery or Ronaldo (though I still tend to think Ribery deserves it more giving that if Ronaldo was the best player, he would of won something)
3. Messi.

Re: OFFICIAL: FIFA Ballon d'or 2013 - Voting extended
Bayern Munich star Franck Ribery revealed he was "disappointed" by Mamadou Sakho's declaration that he would back Cristiano Ronaldo to be crowned Ballon d'Or winner.
Ribery was instrumental in die Roten's unprecedented treble last season and recently helped France to the 2014 World Cup by impressing in a 3-2 aggregate play-off win against Ukraine.
However, Ronaldo remains one of the firm favourites after an incredible performance record during 2013, with Liverpool defender Sakho citing that as the decisive reason behind his vote.
"I would vote for Cristiano Ronaldo," the France international told beIN Sport on Monday. "He is a high-level player and athlete and the statistics of the Portuguese are really impressive.
"It is obvious my heart would vote for Ribery, but the numbers don't lie."
However, Ribery made clear he was not impressed with his international colleague's remarks, telling L'Equipe: "Sakho disappointed me.
"He disappointed me about what he said recently. Anyway, that's how it is in football. He gave his opinion. This is life. It's not a serious issue."
Ribery and Ronaldo are now considered front-runners for the prestigious individual award given Barcelona man Lionel Messi has been ruled out for the rest of the year with injury.
Fifa had extended the voting deadline till Thursday in order to allow more votes to be cast due to an initial low number of replies from the nominated coaches and players.
