No M99 just jumped the gun as per. He had one really good game against Sunderland and then Swansea in the cup but that's it.

He had several games where he was easily United's best player or one of the best, and then multiple games beyond that where he played well. He had his fair share of games where he disappeared but part of that is Moyes and United being shite, and he's also a kid.

Do not really think that M99 jumped the gun at that point in time either.

Take Sterling, the Ox, Barkley, Berahino, Ings (the latter three not perfect comparisons but closer than Lukaku)

Point is, he's behind his peers in development.

On a more serious note, Januzaj has never really impressed me. It does look like he just stopped developing to be good enough for the adult team.

I said in terms of what they both offer FROM THEIR POSITIONS. Lukaku's contributions as a striker have been far superior to Januzaj's contributions as a winger. I mean, for the love of God, Lukaku even has more assists

He has always looked average. There are players who compensate very bad decision making with pure skill, like vintage Robben for instance. He doesn't have neither a great football brain nor great football talent. He can become a good player though, but not something special like he was made like 2 years ago

Part of his attitude problem may have been down to the fact it was a loan deal. You don't always have the best motivation if you don't want to / are not going to stay at the club after your loan spell.

But he is talented, we'll see whether LVG is going to give him a chance and what Januzaj's attitude will then be.

I don't think so.

I think Drenthe showed far, far more quality pperformances in his career than Januzaj ever did.
All Januzaj did was have a great debut game as an 18 year old when Utd fans, and in extension all England seeing how English public is in the grip of Man United, were starting to drift into panic mode. One game in 2013, nothing ever since.
