i said he is much better and has shown a lot more in defensive phases and in transition to defense. Create is not the right term, modric organizes if you want. He is very good moving the ball out of defensive phase, that's what he excels at. Rakitic is much better trying to kill the game. They are just different.

eventhough, there are two rakitic, the one that plays behind the CF and the one that plays in the double pivot. the former has performed a lot better this season

Rakitic has had a better season for me. Modric doesn't organise anything. That is what Alonso does, Modric is a neat player, but he is nowhere near a mf organiser. How are you suddenly bestowing all this traits he never had in his career to him now? I can't believe what I am reading tbh.

Depends what do you mean by hustler... That word is used to describe players with high energy and high work rate specialised in running after players and winning the ball back.
If you think that is modric's best trait then you still don't know anything about him.

His best trait is his ability to with stand pressure and get out of the tight situations with his dribbling skills.Also his ability to always position himself for his teammate fire a pass.

Modric is not even the same sort of player any more. Modric sits in the pivot, whereas Rakitic plays the SS or TQ position.

Rakitic has got everything I wished Modric had. We would be monstrous with DiMaria and Rakitic spraying those balls to Bale and Ronaldo all the while being workhorses in midfield.

not so sure. Modric adds so much more defensively than Rakitic from what I've seen.

I think Rakitic has the speed to get back in transition. He has been playing next to turtle Mbia in midfield and still looks like a decent defender.

I'm sure Rakitic has been playing CAM this season, while Modric has played CM, which is why it's easier for Rakitic to create chances.

Also Modric may not be an organiser like Alonso, but he links things up from deep, escapes pressure and complements Alonso.

Just being good at creating chances won't be enough. The system, style and tactics matter too.

He's 20 playing in a poor team. Insane ball control, dribbling, vision and ability to open up play. If anything he's underhyped, he'll move to a big club then everybody's eyes will be opened. No doubt in my mind he'll be the best midfielder in the world in a few years.
