Ivan Rakitić Appreciation Thread

What an excellent player.

First watched him during Euros a couple of years ago and him and Modrić were the first midfield to really challenge Spain's domination.

For me he's one of those midfielders who's got everything. Technique, passing, composure, work rate, and a sharp eye for goal. A truly underrated player whom sadly, is too good for a once-great team like Sevilla.

Oh and, inb4 he joins EPL and people call him The Next <insert legendary midfielder name here> (see Cazorla/Silva)

One of my favourite players anywhere, he is really really good.

I think I most like his dynamism and shooting ability.

Only above that, he does a great job of recognising and balancing dropping deep to recieve the ball, but also getting into goal scoring positions. Its a hard balance, but finds it very well.

Don't understand why La Liga fans do this..... Cazorla and Silva are nowhere near as hyped as you claim or as dominant as you claim.

I distinctly remember people claiming that Silva> Iniesta during his first season and cazorla was hailed as one of the EPLs best players during his first 6 months at Arsenal.

We know of his quality and all round dynamism, yet what isn't mentioned is that he is one of the finest leaders in all of Europe. I cannot stress how much he has impressed me in that regard whether by example or by his mannerisms to which instantly compose a usually jittery Sevilla (and Unai).

Along with Ander, has been La Liga's best midfielder. Fantastic player.
