Every time he makes a mistake De gea haters are quick to jump on his back. He has put in some man of the match performances recently and if not for him today United could have conceded 4 or 5 goals.

Time he got praised for something ffs.

He was magnificent today. He and Rooney are pretty much the reasons why United still have a decent chance in Bilbao. Made 3 brilliant saves against Muniain. The goal Muniain scored against him was just bad luck, IMO. After that superb save, he went to the other side of his goal soon enough, but Muniain's finish was too good.

I along with many other Liga watchers are confident once he overcomes his nerves that we will be a nail on keeper for United and for years to come.

I hope the last couple of weeks will finally shut some of his critics up. It was always going to take time to adapt to a new league. And he hasn't ever been as bad as people want to say he was.

Like I have said in the past there is this weird hatred for him among English announcers and press for some unknown reason and they have tried there hardest to ruin the kid.

He was always one of the best young keepers in the world and kudos to everyone who stuck by him. He will be United's keeper for the next 10 years and when you look back at 20 mill paid for him you will laugh at people ever questioning that amount.

His recent performances have showed the critisim b4 were probably unfair, he just needed time and confidence.... some of his saves recently were incredible....hopefully he doesnt go on to be another Man U great though
