Like how some Premier League managers who are afraid of losing their players/Under pressure to buy players want the Window to be closed before the start of the season.

While United tried a bit more, I think you were also quite scared of losing it. I saw too much of deep defending and no pressing from United today.RED wrote:You're having a laugh? Extremely boring game, no one actually tried to win. Oh well. Chelsea will probably enjoy the result more.

According to the manager of Romanian outfit Steaua Bucharest, Laurentiu Reghecampf, Tottenham have agreed a deal to sign Vlad Chiriches:
"The two clubs have agreed to transfer him. I'm very happy for him. I cannot say the amount for which [he was] transferred, but it is very high. It will be the most expensive transfer in the history of Steaua. The owner says that all there is left to do is sign some documents."

Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V2
Adem Ljajic has been removed from Fiorentina's squad for their Serie A fixture against Catania tonight, sparking renewed transfer speculation. The Serbian forward has been heavily linked with Tottenham, Roma, and Liverpool.

Reports in Italy suggest that representatives of Roma forward Erik Lamela are in London to finalise a transfer to Tottenham. Lamela is waiting for an agreement to be reached and could be in England tomorrow to put pen to paper.

I wouldn't say scared. We were solid at the back and compact. In terms of attack, there was only one team trying to get a goal.free_cat wrote:While United tried a bit more, I think you were also quite scared of losing it. Chelsea came to OT with the hope of only getting a point. Fair play to them they achieved it. grrr

What about Lamela? Are Spurs signing anyone else? To be honest, I was quite impressed with both Chadli and Townsend,so if they get Lamela they would be very covered on the wings, although a Nani or a Willian wouldn't have hurt.

Why no pressing from United though? I didn't see any urge to try and win the game towards the end.RED wrote:I wouldn't say scared. We were solid at the back and compact. On another note, I think Lampard's handball could have been signaled as a penalty, he has it unatached from his arm and in a weird position to say it's unintentional.

Slept through the first 30 minutes. My only regret is not sleeping through the rest of it.

Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V2
Difference between Real and Chelsea fans.
Real fans hated when Mourinho played this kind of football against the big teams(Barca in 11', Bayern in 12' etc.)
Meanwhile, Chelsea fans love it.

Oh,so bad of Chelsea fans to support the manager because you have to do whatever it takes in football to achieve the result you want.
Fact is,If Mou had won more trophies with Real,The fans would never had criticized him for playing shitty football.
