Shelvey is not mature enough as of yet and is very much raw. He is best utilized when he is given much more freedom in an advanced role. Add to that there's no one in that Swansea midfield who is defensively good enough.
nobody is rating Shelvey off one game, seen him many times, always shite

What's there not to rate? He's already better than Benzema.

Maybe not as a footballer but he's a far better forward.

Brilliant by Shelvey. Excellent movement to get into a great position and a brilliant cushioned header into Michu's path.

Haters gonna hate, excellent character after a nightmare 42 minutes.

Before start of the season if you offered me 10 points from Stoke (H), Villa (A), United (H), and Swans (A) with Suarez suspended I would have bitten your hand off.

Unbeaten, top of the league and only one game away until Suarez is back and shifts the burden of creativity off Coutinho.

Team lost all balance and shape after Williams injured Cou on purpose. What a bad wool he is.

i think when cou got injured, i realised which i couldnt he was playing a very imp role in the middle of the pitch, but let's hope that coutinho is OK.
Now a get a win against southampton and other coming games because the difficult fixture list awaits for us towards the end of this year

Shelvey was both the home and away team's best player tonight. Beat that, CR7 and Bale

By the way, anyone else thinks Ashley Williams is the biggest c*** playing football at the moment ?

Talked shit about Suarez in his book ( Laughing ) for no reason
Tried to kill RVP
Always looks to start a fight
Injured Coutinho on purpose tonight.

Hope he gets clattered soon and be out for a while. Bad bad wool

Coutinho's injury was his landing Sepi. It was a stupid tackle, no arguments there, but Williams only really wanted to foul Coutinho or Cou would of been in behind the Swansea defence. Still a c*nt though, never rated the guy. Glad we didn't sign him.

Thought Shelvey did very well. He's playing in a position he hasn't played in years. He's best position is Michu's right now. This game showed his quality, he dominated us in midfield. Unfortunately for him, this game also showed his inexperience with two of his passes ending up in goals for Liverpool. The sooner he gets more football under his belt, the sooner he'll show his potential. He is very very good. Many players would of just gave up after his first half, but he went on to drive in a Swansea equaliser, and could of easily help Swansea win the game. They were all over us in the last half hour. Felt sorry for him in his post match presser, looked like the lad was going to cry. I hope the Swansea fans show him some support.

To be fair, Shelvey at the moment, is a younger more entertaining Charlie Adam.

He could of course improve with time

Of course you don't, because he has ties to Liverpool (as your misinformed comments on his origin show).

Bullshit mate. If it's like that I shouldn't rate any United player. If any Liverpool fan didn't rate Morrison or Pogba was it because of the team they used to play at ?

It's true for example when Lex doesn't rate Bale (He'll start rating him soon Wink ) , but for example, the fact that I don't rate Cleverly isn't at all because he plays for United. He could play for us and I wouldn't rate him.
