Looks like Ozil is off to another team after the move he pulled today after being substituted.

I don't know why Carlo is clashing with so many heads at the same time, Casillas, Ozil, forcing Ronaldo to play CF (not that it is a bad thing at all), and possible clashes with Bale arrival. It's good that he's trying to improve the team, but it's probably better if he tried to improve one problem at a time.

CR7 is playing his usual position.  Only thing he doesn't do is drop so low in the midfield anymore.  But other than that, he's doing the same things.  Just a little off right now... it'll come around.

Lopez deserves to start.  He has done nothing to lose his job and Carlo is absolutely right in keeping him in his spot.  My problem last year was never Lopez over Iker.. it was Adan of Iker.  That was bs.  This one, i understand.

I think he went to the locker room to blow off steam without having cameras staring at him... it's not usual at all to take a shower while the game is going on lol. In fact, it's extremely unusual.

I don't agree with subbing Ozil off tbh. I mean it's not like the sub improved the team anyway.

He was slacking off on D in the second half Z... Granada were getting back in the game. Carlo took out his worst defensive midfielder and Marcelo because we were becoming vulnerable.

It had nothing to do with him personally. It was just time to get more defensive with a 1-0 lead and 30 mins to go. Di Maria, Modric and Isco are all better defenders and have better work rate than him.

Ozil apparently earns €5m a year and going to €7m with an extension doesn't sound too bad.

In terms of leaving, well I'm sure everyone is worried about their place with Bale possibly arriving.

I just wish that Özil should have a fruitful season before the world cup. So I hope the manager sorts out the situation and makes him give his best for RM

It's twice already he's been substituted while actually playing well, in both Betis & Granada games he created the most chances, still not enough for  Ancelotti for not taking him off. Felt like Ancelotti made it really hard for him to win the competition of minutes with other players. Offensively just as good as Isco if not a bit better in both games but Ancelotti kept Isco on instead of Ozil because he's defensively better. Also playing (much) better than Benzema & Ronaldo, but Ancelotti kept both on instead of Ozil because they're supposedly a better scorer. Ozil will never win this competition unless he hit some crazy form soon enough because doing just well will never be enough.

The funny thing is those substitutions weren't even necessary nor we played better (or more balanced as it's intended to) after the substitution.

Carlo doesn't accept midfielders that can't defend adequately. It's really as simple as that. Pastore had massive problems too... never really settled down with Carlo at PSG.

His tactics require that 2 players stay up on the attack and everyone else defend actively. It doesn't matter how well you do on the attack... it's all about balance.

And, no, Ozil was not better than Isco, Di maria or Benzema. CR7... maybe. But CR7 plays hard every second and he'll become a beast soon enough.

If Ozil wants to play like this, he needs to go to a team where he can be a striker tbh.

Don't think Di Maria/Benzema were any better than Ozil at that point in the game. Although Benzema had a different role with different responsibilities.

people keep bringing up that isco is better defensively. i personally dont see it. i dont see either of them making tackles and winning the ball back to be honest.

what i do see is that isco plays from just a tiny bit deeper. im thinking this is where the illusion comes in.
