Corbyn slams Ozil's wage demands, asks him to sign new Arsenal contract

"I do [think he's paid too much]," Corbyn said while a guest on Sunday's 'Andrew Marr Show' on BBC One.

The Arsenal fan then directed a message to Ozil, adding: "Mesut thanks for your game, you are a fantastic player, but can you just live with what you’ve got at the moment?"

"He's a lovely player and it's a great club," Corbyn concluded.

Jeremy Corbyn, Labour leader. Actually saw the interview, he didn't give the impression of being entirely critical. Or even serious really. Pretty sure he has more pressing matters to wrap his head around.

Yes.

The sport is as popular as it is because of the fanbase that goes to games or pays for TV that makes the TV deal so huge and then comes in all the sponsorships and billionaire owners.

It's a massive revolving door but it all starts with the fans and without them none of this happens and the players are paid like they are because of all these factors and the money put into the sport by the fans.

I just can't take anyone seriously who complains about this when it's obvious where it comes from.
