Bale is better through the middle and on the right, so basically the type of positions Benzema currently occupies. The thing is, Benzema doesn't really have much presence in the box, so he isn't really offering anything that Bale absolutely cannot do right now.

Lets not underrate his contributions to the team's play. His link up shouldn't go unnoticed. Something I'm not 100% convinced that Bale would be able to do.

Maybe but we'll have to wait and see how it goes. I honestly don't think Benzema will have it easy this season. Last season he only had to compete with Higuain but this season he could be dropped for Di Maria/Jese/Morata and for sure Bale if he comes here.

Also, his link up isnt as key in this new formation as it used to be under the senseless 4231 of mourinho.

We have enough playmakers in the midfield with the trivote, fullbacks providing width... we need killers up front.

I am not against a player of Benzema's skillset, never will, but we need a killer that thinks of punishing the other team along with CR. It's a mentality thing, the single biggest issue with Benzema.

Cant help but think that Suarez would be brilliant in that set up, switching at will with CR and bitingmolesting the other team

I don't think Suarez is much of a clinical striker. He's similar to Benzema, in terms of being a player who links up and is good at dribbling. Cavani/Falcao would have been the options for clinical strikers.

Bringing Bale is all about the "we can because we have money" not actual footballing reasons.

Every body misses one on one chances sometimes, you guys act like he does it all the time..

When he shoots like 10 times as much as anybody else on the team, and a good amount of those shots from outside of the box that have no chance of going in.. Yeah he's selfish

Maybe Benzema needs to step up and demand the ball. Him not getting it isn't Ronaldo's fault and it certainly isn't Ronaldo's responsibility to make sure Benzema scores goals. This isn't even a case of Ronaldo not passing because he almost always passes to the open man, just look at Morata's disallowed goal last night or Ozil's goal vs the Galaxy as a recent examples.

ps: in 10 minutes morata had more box "presence" than benzema for crying out loud.
