Re: Post your country's Music
I think there are German people who go snow boarding or rock climbing that might still be listening to Guano Apes
apart from that, one hit wonder
Liquido, one hit wonder if there ever was one, I don't even know whether they have one other song. But boy did they make money with that one, it got played so much back it made you want to kill
And I must have been 17-18 so I was very cool and very disapproving, listening to Sonic Youth, Aphex Twin and Björk and what have you

^ Ah yes, I have had even to control if Liquido was the name of the group or of the song, that says everything

Re: Post your country's Music
Not my country and i don't understand a word but here is cambodian rap, god i love this instrumental, and the lady has great flow
I remember a particular evening 10-15 years ago i listen to this song for hours while slaying some bums in DW6, at the time it seemed pretty conceptual for my ignorant self

Traditional music, more specific to my province than whole canada
It plays mostly around Christmas we dance on this the lyrics are gibberish even if you understand the language (more so it's the countryside slang at this point)
Extremely catchy song

On that topic, do your countries have an accent that has a certain charm to it, but it's hard to take it seriously because it sounds kind of silly and/or playful?
Everyone seemed to miss this, so I’ll quote myself. Erling Haaland’s accent sounds quite silly to me. I’d compare it a southern, «hillbilly» accent in the states, from an English-speaking point of view.
We also have some far northern accents that are infamous for incorporating words and expressions like, «horse cock» in every day conversations (I’m not joking). To them, it’s the equivalent to «give me a break», but naturally it sounds too vulgar for every day use to the rest of the country.

that description fits almost all German accents, prominently of course the inimitable Franconian of Lothar Matthäus and also basically every East German accent

Coincidentally, Haaland’s accent sounds like a mix between German, Danish and Norwegian We have so many dialects here. A lot of the time, Swedish is more comprehensible than our regional accents. I’d be interested to hear the less common accents from countries like, India or Poland, but that may be better suited for a different thread.

Hmm I think every country has that pretty much "Standard" variation and then some regional accents. We have one in the South too, which sounds funny, much like the American southern accents compared to the "General American accent".
Here is a taste of our funniest regional accent in the south:
- Spoiler:
I think it's pretty easy to spot the differences :p
And here is what I'd call Standard/general Polish:

Re: Post your country's Music
My main language is considered an accent. Written it is the same however. As opposed to France's french which is the standard, it's comparable to what scottish english is to American english.
For guys like Nishank or Robes, who are learning french, understand me when i talk is a hard level
We are provinciale

Man, that dialect guy says kurwa a lot We have a shit ton of regional accents here. There was a news coverage of some stranded ship in the far northern region of the country, many years back. A reporter interviewed a sailor in the area, and the sailor man's accent/dialect was so messed up that I probably understood about 5% of what he said. What's even funnier is that the reporter got so confused by the weird accent that, as the interview went on, he started struggling to talk himself lol. I'll post it on here if I can find it.
We like to make fun of the people who live up in the far north here. There's a stereotype that describes them as lazy, violent, vulgar and alcoholics - basically, deadbeat/white-trash people. It's a cliché, and I believe only a small handful of them fit the description, but it's running joke that never seems to get old. Someone even made a full comedy movie that's based around this stereotype.
