In terms of hipness, it would be the likes of Kygo and Allan Walker, but I'd rather post something people haven't already heard (of). That said, I hardly ever listen to music these days and what I've heard of Norwegian pop lately has been absolute crap.
These two are probably our most popular, non-electronic pop artists, nowadays.

Re: Post your country's Music
Also i wanted to add South Africa in my collection. The song by Mvula Drae was legit but the chorus annoyed. So i browse his other songs on Youtube, one i really liked, now i can't find it back
This is perhaps the most canadian song ever, i just give the link, instead of waiting 5 minutes of loading

Saw Sigrid at the Berlin Lollapalooza last year where I accompanied my niece, and she's good. Good pop artist, and very cute too.

What I had in mind was the most popular (well, maybe not necessarily most popular but just good) music in your country in your native language, not English. Sigrid is great but does she sing in Norwegian too? I like song in different tounges other than english.
Great posts guys, though. Also, one from me that I stumbled upon recently:

Denmark has the worst hip hop in the world for my money. This is basically how it all sounds right now.

I actually like what's currently happening on our "hip hop" stage:
This one is cool: "I'm not crying after Notre Dame (this pain still burns within us)", still remember when it was burning [*]

Most of our hiphop sounds the same. I would describe it as pretentiously American.
Hans: Yeah, I like Sigrid. I'm not super familiar with her, but she seems like a really honest and authentic person. She's a country bumpkin. People like that don't typically turn into artists, around here. The music industry can be cynical, and she strikes me as quite naïve, but I suppose that's part of her charm.
Mystats: I don't listen to music much these days, and it's even more rare that I listen to Norwegian music, but here's a band that used to like a bit. I don't know if I've already posted it in this thread. The lead singer has the same accent/dialect as Erling Haaland, which I find amusing.
On that topic, do your countries have an accent that has a certain charm to it, but it's hard to take it seriously because it sounds kind of silly and/or playful?

Your country had a song for a French Church?
That's crazy, would love that there was even one country fighting for my culture. But its fine, I don't give a fcuk about religion and history.

Re: Post your country's Music
Yeah, well, Notre Dame is like literally the most famous church in Europe and possibly the entire world. It was the inspiration for this song surely, there's a line in there "I'm not crying after notre dame, this pain still burns within us, please help me put it out".
Quebonafide had an entire album inspired by other countries (also India):
there's english subtitles

Well obviously not the world, lmao nobody in entire Asia cares about European/English folk or religion after independence from the white. That said for this band: Using Indian freedom of speech for quoting Aisha is low and then cows, no respect, cannot. This band is a coward mate.

Yeah, I knew you would take offense at the Indian one, it's quite harsh. But it's not a band, he's just a young rapper who's flaunting his wealth, you know how they are. He loves France, though

Yes at least 3-4 times.
It's curious how even the text is so proper for Dark, despite this song was made in 1984.
anyway not just song but even this videoclip appears on Dark, on 1X01
Anyway while we're on the subject, first videoclip that I remember to have seen in my life ( if you're grown up in 90s , you're grown up watching MTV) is from a German band , Narcotic / Liquido.
1998, here we go.

that Liquido song is just part of my first memories, I was 8.
And I've refused to hear that vid made by Italian group ( given that we've touched that topic, about Italian dance - that I don't appreciate though - that Feed from desire - copied by Northen Irland fans for Will Grigg on Fire- 's been made by Italian singer )
Anyway need to admitt that that metal - rock piece by Guano Apes ( Open your eyes, posted above ) is really good indeed.
Then I don't know if it's a just one-hit wonder, not listened Guano Apes after it, but here it was a real success.
My sister had CD. Released in 997, first memories again.
Ppl still used to buy CDs at that time.

Re: Post your country's Music
I think there are German people who go snow boarding or rock climbing that might still be listening to Guano Apes
apart from that, one hit wonder
Liquido, one hit wonder if there ever was one, I don't even know whether they have one other song. But boy did they make money with that one, it got played so much back it made you want to kill
And I must have been 17-18 so I was very cool and very disapproving, listening to Sonic Youth, Aphex Twin and Björk and what have you
