Re: Manchester United 2013/2014 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
Welbeck was fantastic. That fortunate 1st goal he scored lifted his confidence and he was immense and rightly deserved the MOTM.
He and Cleverley scored and both performed well, are we on some alternate universe? lol. It's great viewing because they reminded us, that yes, they are good players.
Cleverley scores and immediately is wanting the ball, making forward runs, taking shots...taking the innitiative. Wow! Different player to the shit he served us all season.
Now it's all about both players taking that new found confidence boost and kicking on for the rest of the season. We have a lot of injuries right now, they need to step up and deliver. And they did today.
Valencia and Rafael ripped apart that Villa LB. Valencia especially had a good game. A huge plus is that he delivered a cross that met a Utd player. Huge improvement. Rafael is getting fitter and it's a big difference having him, an actual full back. His partnership with Valencia is crucial to us.
Januzaj was class as usual. Did well to make runs into the box and give us an extra body whenever Rooney was deep in MF. The kid has balls(no pun intended). Never cowers and takes responsibility. Already a big player for us.
Jones was solid at the back along with Evans. Cleared all of Villas long balls and didn't give Benteke a sniff. Granted Villa didn't create much. Still, a clean sheet was very much needed.
Rooney wasn't effective as he has been in previous matches, but he worked tirelessly for the team. Helping out in MF and at defence too. A selfless player. Sprayed some great balls across the pitch. He's incredible and so important right now.
The challenge for us now is to go on a run. We badly need to get a string of wins. All our competitors for top 4 will be playing each other and dropping point. We need to take advantage.
Great to see Fletcher back!

I kind of wanted to play AC Milan. I'm not complaining though, Olympiacos is a good draw.

It depends on how fit he actually is? Or what the severity of the injury was.
I'm pretty certain all of us will be livid if he suffers a setback like RVP did.
Good line up. We should have enough there to beat WH convincingly.

4 wins in a row that's the type of unbeaten run we want, not 10 games consisting mainly of draws.
And dare I say, Ashley Young should start ahead of Valenica in the next game

Re: Manchester United 2013/2014 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
He most defintely should imo, BB. Valencia was the worst player on the pitch today and has been in poor form all season. Young is atleast contributing by scoring goals lately. He deserves a start ahead of Val.
Pleased with that match. We need to keep it up now over the festive period. Rack up as much points as we could while those around us drop a few.
Another thing I want to point out is how resolute our defending has been recently. We seem to have cut out the little mistakes that were plaguing us earlier and seem to have a steady starting CB's in Smalling and Evans. Phil Jones as DM is working wonders for us as well. Gives us that extra bit of protection at the back while also making driving runs offensively. Kid is an exceptional player.
Just a shame that Buttner came and undid all that defensive hard work and robbed the defence and DDG off a clean sheet. Fcking scrub!

No man. If valencia cannot deliver, zaha should be given opportunity not young. He is scoring a couple of goals. true but Its still not sufficient considering his weekly wages.
Yea we can do one thing, cut his wage down to half. then bring him gradually as second half subs like today. If he is showing improvement then may be more game time. But no definitely no place in the starting line up, not yet.

Tbh I am super glad Buttner fcked up. It came in the right game. I mean it didnt cost us points. it will probably therefore prove (fingers crossed) as a tight slap on moyes's rosy cheeks and make him reconsider and thereby rectify his stubbornness regarding his stand on fabio.

If we had someone like Mourinho as manager I would be really annoyed when Zaha doesn't play, because it wouldn't have been because of his talent, but because of his age. As we've seen with Januzaj, Rooney etc Moyes isn't scared to play young players which leads me to think Zaha isn't quite ready yet. I do share your frustration though, because our wingers have been pure shite. However, I'm willing to trust Moyes on this one.

Apart from that and thar heat attack in the final 15 mins or so commendable job from the team and FROM MOYES
Substitutions were precise.
ohhh... Huge confiedence booster.
Scoring 3 at KC where until today only 3 had been scored. Now with Carrick being back and welbeck looking good this result can well be the turning point this season for us.
Go for Gloryyyyyyyyyyyyyy

I think I just aged 10 years watching that Hull- Utd game. We should have won that comfortably, but 2 sloppy goals conceded was frustrating af!
On to the next game!

Valencia's sending off might be a blessing in disguise. Young on the right and Januzaj on the left, we looked so much better.
Did well to fight back, especially to a team that had only conceded 3 at home all season. Carrick back is a big plus, especially considering Jones is out for 2 weeks.

Ridiculously stupid from Valencia. He was suspended for the Norwich either way, but still, he should have known better.

Oh, I didn't realise he was suspended for the next match anyway.
Yeah, his second yellow was stupid especially considering De Gea saved a shot from where Valencia was meant to be hadn't he been sent off.

De Gea, Smalling, Evans, Vidic, Evra, Young, Cleverley, Carrick, Giggs, Kagawa, Hernandez.
Subs: Anderson, Lindegaard, Welbeck, Fabio Da Silva, Fletcher, Zaha, Januzaj.
Rooney not involved at all Let's hope Shinji can pull off some of that Japanese magic of his.

It's frightening just how shit we are without Rooney. That 1st half performance was pitiful.
And Evra needs to gtfo of this team asap. He has been shocking defensively. Looks like he can't be arsed. Lazy fcker!

Evra looks knackered, he's getting torn apart. Fabio needs to come on.
Our lack of chance creation has also been very disappointing.

of a performance.
Dont know what to say after this. Its like they are playing football and we something else entirely.
Thank God its Norwich. We would have been 3 or 4 goals down if it was some other team.
Hair dryer treatment needed at half time.
Januzaj should be brought on for cleverly or giggs. fabio should be brougt on for evra asap as well.

No corners yet, and only one wide angled tame shot on target. This team is lacking in quality really badly. We need to keep defending (if you want to call it that) and hopefully nick one on the break or a set piece.
We need Adnan and Welbeck on 2nd half too.

we are bloody hopeless at creating chances without Rooney....RVP scores a ton of goals, but Rooney is the reason any chance is created in the first place...by far our most important player.
