Re: Manchester United 2013/2014 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
the summer now these performances, it has been embarrassing from the start.....this team needs creative midfielders who can carry the ball from the defence and get involved, who does he buy.....FELLAINI the slowest, laziest SOB i've ever seen in a United shirt, he was sitting by smalling and vidic all bloody game doing nothing

How poor is Welbeck? Like...how the hell did he remain in the pitch for so long. He was by far the worst player out there.
We have so many shet players in this team that there def needs to be a clear out next summer. We need a massive over haul.
Valencia, Cleverley, Welbeck and Fellaini need to all gtfo.

Ditto. A sea of averageness.B-Mac wrote:you forgot Young, Buttner, and Anderson ffs :rofl:there is SO MANY
Sir Alex Ferguson is without doubt, if anyone doubted, was the greatest manager ever. He made this team, yes, this team, win the title last season and compete for it the previous one.
Miracle worker.

SAF was brilliant, I think that's why it's been so hard judge Moyes this season. I was a little harsh on him earlier, I hope he gets proper backing in January and that we can move on from there. This summer is going to be one of our biggest transfer windows in a long time.RED wrote:Ditto. A sea of averageness.B-Mac wrote:you forgot Young, Buttner, and Anderson ffs :rofl:there is SO MANY

Re: Manchester United 2013/2014 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
Lacklustre all throughout the first half. Fortunate Newcastle havent scored so far.
Passing is third rate. Defenders are ffs sitting deep. Sick of this defensive mentality adopted by moyes even when we are playing at home.
Need to make some crucial changes (read that as zaha for nani) or else another disappointment it is going to be it looks like.
We want ZAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA ffs Moyes. bring the kid on and throw everything at them.
Show some goddamn guts old man. phewwww!!!

Get rid of Moyes. Before he relegates us. The players look demotivated playing for this man.
SAF shafted us by picking him.

Breaking records at Old Trafford for all the wrong reasons.
EFC broke a 21 year record by beating us the other day, now NUFC broke a 41 year record by beating us at OT. smh

Liverpool will most likely beat West Ham today and we'll be 8 points ahead of us. It's not just the amount of points we have to make up, it's having to wait wait for five teams to drop points that what makes it so hard.
It's getting ridiculous.

Time to face reality. We are awful as a team, with a clueless manager and mediocre coaching staff.

Re: Manchester United 2013/2014 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
there is no drive, no motivation. and i think moyes has already lost the dressing room seeing the attitude of the players on the pitch.
losing 2 home matches on a row, however shite the team is. however shite the manager is is quite simply not done. even bottom half clubs will do better than this with 2 back to back home games. will salvage at least a point. we cant even do that. SHOCKINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!

and i fear now not many top players will be wanting to come to us even if finally the glazers and that beep called woodward decide to spend money seeing the fate of ours by then and more importantly after noticing how ineffective and clueless moyes is for us .
I mean who would want to leave chance of playing champions league football and come to us, who are struggling to even win home games against average teams.

Re: Manchester United 2013/2014 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
What is wrong at United? Well, several things.
Firstly, except a few players, the squad is average. SAF knew it, Moyes doesn't have a clue. The midfield is excruciatingly painful to watch at times. "Only-back-and-lateral passes" Cleverley and Anderson are useless, Carrick's absence is now more obvious than ever. Fellaini... is about as useful to the team as a long stick with some broccoli tied to its standing end. His passing is woeful (about 85% back passes, no creativity whatsoever), he's always all over the place (seemingly only not in the places he should be) and, overall, he is a presence that does not aid the United game one bit.
Secondly, the wingers. Nani, we all know him, he's inconsistent and, at times, way too selfish for the good of the team. Ashley Young should have never worn an United shirt and his diving antics do not impress me, either. Antonio Valencia is a hard-working player, I would be a fool not to admit it. He's got speed, good, sometimes great crossing ability, but he is somewhat limited technically. Januzaj is the bright spot so far and Zaha should be given more chances.
These players practically strolled home with the title last season. I believe they did it because they had a different attitude. They were truly, genuinely afraid of SAF. They were 2 goals down with 25 minutes to go? They knew they had to win the goddamn game, or the gaffer will rip them a new one.
I know it's difficult to expect a team, albeit Manchester United, to scale the same heights immediately after changes of this magnitude (manager, backroom staff, men-in-suits), but anything below 4th this season would be an absolute f#$%ing disaster and the way the team plays (get it on the wing, then blast crosses in the box regardless of how many players you have there, what the score or minute is) even this looks difficult. I know I'm stating the obvious, but reinvestment in the squad is crucial.
Rant over.

Important match tomorrow guys. We have to win to get back in the top 4 race.
I would play this team.
-------------------De Gea---------------------
Rafael------Smalling-------Vidic----------Evra
-----------Jones--------Carrick---------------
------------------Kagawa-------------------
Valencia------------------------------Nani
--------------------Rooney-------------------
We have to stop Benteke from scoring.

Important win.
All the so called 'scrubs' woke up from their slumber
Welb, Valencia, Clev brilliant.
with Rooney and Rafael at their best as usual.
Moyes must have given them bit of a treatment.
And glad Fletch is back
Hope this fire wont die down any time soon
Lets make it 4 in a row now.

Re: Manchester United 2013/2014 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
Welbeck was fantastic. That fortunate 1st goal he scored lifted his confidence and he was immense and rightly deserved the MOTM.
He and Cleverley scored and both performed well, are we on some alternate universe? lol. It's great viewing because they reminded us, that yes, they are good players.
Cleverley scores and immediately is wanting the ball, making forward runs, taking shots...taking the innitiative. Wow! Different player to the shit he served us all season.
Now it's all about both players taking that new found confidence boost and kicking on for the rest of the season. We have a lot of injuries right now, they need to step up and deliver. And they did today.
Valencia and Rafael ripped apart that Villa LB. Valencia especially had a good game. A huge plus is that he delivered a cross that met a Utd player. Huge improvement. Rafael is getting fitter and it's a big difference having him, an actual full back. His partnership with Valencia is crucial to us.
Januzaj was class as usual. Did well to make runs into the box and give us an extra body whenever Rooney was deep in MF. The kid has balls(no pun intended). Never cowers and takes responsibility. Already a big player for us.
Jones was solid at the back along with Evans. Cleared all of Villas long balls and didn't give Benteke a sniff. Granted Villa didn't create much. Still, a clean sheet was very much needed.
Rooney wasn't effective as he has been in previous matches, but he worked tirelessly for the team. Helping out in MF and at defence too. A selfless player. Sprayed some great balls across the pitch. He's incredible and so important right now.
The challenge for us now is to go on a run. We badly need to get a string of wins. All our competitors for top 4 will be playing each other and dropping point. We need to take advantage.
Great to see Fletcher back!
