meh. It's nothing too serious. All the players apart from Adnan and Fabio looked rusty. People would want to a bit of emphasis on this due to it being Moyes, I doubt an eyebrow would be raised had it been SAF in charge- and yes he has lost pre season games before, to even worse teams.
--------------------------------
Adnan looks a very good player. Had a brilliant game, quite a few eye catching passes. I would like to see him get a few chances in the 1st team next season. Only 18 too.
Zaha had a decent debut too.
Welbeck could quite possibly be the worst finisher..............ever. And that skill he fluffed.....I felt embarrassed for him lol.

Re: 2013/2014 Pre-Season Thread
yeah it looks like most coaches making their debuts with a new teams have lost their first game
but boy Welbeck missed some glorious chances some absolute sitters. Anderson was also lethargic yesterday too sloppy and lazy to chase after the ball after he had lost it

Moyes: "Overall, my thought on Wayne is, if for any reasons we had an injury to Robin van Persie, we'll need him."
Why the fck did he say that to the media?
Not smart at all.

stupid because Wayne's best position at this point isn't up top its just behind Van Persie. He hasn't played alone up top for us in like 3 years. Moyes just giving the media fuel for there stories

He's not as smart as SAF when it comes to feeding the media crumbs. That was a silly thing to say from him about Rooney, I can't see him staying now after being made to look as unimportant as RVP.
As stupid as it was when he said he has a 'no budget' on the club's transfer dealings. Stupid. I know it's good to assure the fans we have money to spend, but it will give clubs we're dealing with an excuse to bump up the prices.
-----------------------------------
Or it can be easily misconstrued to him meaning we will be in need of another top class forward if RVP gets injured? We will be short of top class players in our attack( world class like Rooney). He should have been a bit more clearer, and I have a feeling Rooney will use this as a catalyst to even further push his move away from the club.

Re: 2013/2014 Pre-Season Thread
Jesse Lingard was one of the top players from the reserve team last season.
He is a very versatile midfielder. The guy is one of our best hot prospects along with Zaha and Januzaj when it comes about offensive players.
Man United 5-1 A-League All Stars, impressive performance from our boys.
Lingard was in my opinion man of the match. He scored two goals, the second one being an absolute beauty. He also put an assist for RVP in the final minutes of the game. Zaha was also in good form and had a few stylish dribbles. Januzaj came on in the second half and had a big chance to score in the last minutes but the ball hit the post.
Individually speaking, we had the chance to see a lot of impressive tricks and runs but most important is that today we saw a different Man United. The key words are dynamism and vitality. Our players were all over the pitch. I didn't see any lazy player from MUTD today and I hope that this won't change in the future because under Sir Alex we had a lot of games when our players looked uncapable to run enough to cover well their positions or start explosive attacks like we did today.
Every player we used in today's game seemed to be prepared and trained very well. Welbeck also scored 2 goals and had the possibility to score at least two more...I am happy for him, he needed those goals.
In conclusion: we have three golden young talents: Zaha, Januzaj and Lingard. We must exploit them.

If Welbeck consistently adds goals to his game he would be one hell of a player. His link-up play is already very good.

The link-ups are at a very high level in our team, at least this is how it looked today. Yet, we must wait and see how will things develop further because today we've met a mediocre team.

Lindgard was GOAT last season pre season as well....was are best player in one of the games vs the south african teams.
i will admit i did fall asleep during 2nd half of the game today, the match began at 6am where i live and I had a late night, i was fighting to stay awake but in the end I failed
glad to see they banged in 3 more as it was still 2-0 when i fell asleep

The guy is only 18 and he played very well so far in the pre-season friendlies. He must be loaned one or two seasons because he needs to play and at the moment he can't compete with our wingers for a place in the firxt XI.
He must strengthen his body and gain more experience and he can be one of our top players in future.

superb technically, excellent on the ball, has ability to play out wide or down middile of midfield, he will have a future with us, just needs first team experience on loan for a season or 2
