Should be up 2-0. Holden should've just put Johnson through instead of shooting there

Also Red I always wanted to ask you this, why isn't the Gold Cup taken as seriously by the CONCACAF nations as the Euros is in Europe or Copa America is in South America?

It's not as prestigious. The smaller national sides DO take it very seriously, its just the traditional powers that don't always. Even then, Mexico, the US, et al do fight tooth and nail for it as well, they just don't always take their top squads.

We need to get the third to kill this match off.

Simon Phoenix is the actual character's name, yes. But "Demolition Man" both makes the reference clear AND sounds much cooler as a nickname.

Bedoya is having quite the game, and to think I thought it was a mistake putting him in place of Corona. Torres is still shit, but that must be part and parcel with the last name.

What is it with the US going to 2-1 before really turning the screws in this tournament?

Hard to believe that was Costa Rican officiating crew, whatever did we do to them?

Maybe they'll make us friendsies again if we invite them to our next snowball fight :coffee:

What on earth has happened to Mexico ?.. They have been horrible these past months. I don't even know who I'd rather win this game because it doesn't seem like Mexico will be any more difficult for USA than panama will be

Mexico have gotten steadily better throughout the tournament, and they'll almost certainly raise their game another level or two for a match against the US.

Wow. Mexico out. 2-1 to Panama.

What an amazing game that was from a neutral perspective. Both teams had great chances. Exciting from start to finish. Doubt the final will be as dramatic as this match.

Good for Panama. Deserved win. Incredible performance.

the two most experienced teams in the finals..I have tickets for two since they first announced pre-tourney sales.. real cheap too, will be going with a Canalero bro of mines. Should be interesting of Panama can continue the Cinderella story run.

In the end the key will be that while Panama will be game for the final, they don't have the type of impact we do off the bench.
