Basically, through a relative I have inherited some money in the form of £20 Notes from the Bank of England. These notes however, are no longer legal tender. They are a few years too old.

I know that a normal bank will not exchange them after a certain cut off point. However, if I send them to the Bank of England with the correct form attatched, will they exchange the money?

It sounded promising looking on their website, however I've never done anything like this before. Has anybody experienced this before?
