I was a bit burnt out from souls so I didn't get Bloodborne and went for Nioh instead. I'll get it later for sure.

Right now there is the Kingdom Hearts remastered collection coming out (today?) so I'll probably get that. It has most of the series on it. 1, CoM, 2, BBS plus movies for 358/2 days and Re:coded.

That trailer was included at the end of the Gladiolus DLC, which I just completed.. in 1hr 20min There's not much to say about it. You get a little bit of info about Cor Leonis when you rest, inbetween fights. Nothing overly interesting, to be honest. Gladiolus can now block attacks with his shield. That's it. Very short DLC, but it was alright I guess.

Nah it's definitely worth playing.

Just don't do sidequests unless they are needed. They will burn you out.

I'm doing it Witcher 3 style, doing quests according to level but I know what you mean. felt tired last night doing loads of fetch quests. Story is interesting but I feel I need to watch Kingslaive.

One of the most disappointing thing was the lack of variety in music. Every fight had the same soundtrack unless it was a boss fight later on. So those fetch quests felt even more like a chore as you would go and fetch/kill/collect/fix something but in essence it was literally the same thing on repeat. Best part of those quests were the long journeys in car while listening to old FF tracks lol

Watching kingsglaive definitely helps however the story is generally poor. Kingsglaive actually has a better story than the game itself. And better characters too.

nah definitely not, top 5 though, like TLG, OW and Uncharted more

that was probably too harsh from me as I did enjoy FF while playing it, just upon reflection you start poking holes in the story and gameplay

I still listen to the soundtrack RG quite often, there are at least 7-10 amazing tracks but you only hear them once in 50 hrs

you can also get a phone app (in game) that lets you play the classic songs outside of the car IIRC which helped

but yeah the sidequests are horrific and the world was so barren so not worth exploring, although I love Duscae region aesthetically

I was really high on the game after the ending because it was quite good but after the post ending hype settled down I def soured on it slightly, is an 8/10 for me like I think I mentioned before, still very good game but could have been a 10/10 if it was more fleshed out which seems to be the sentiment online and why a lot of people are frustrated, so much potential here.

Ardyn best part of the game IMO.

Pretty much agree with that post completely. Definitely a top 5 game this gen for me too, although tbf I only have 5 games.

dunno when I made that post but couldn't have been after Nioh + Persona + Horizon came out, this is a top 10 game this gen and I don't think there are 10 great games this gen on PS4 yet tbh, I don't think this game is worth putting 50+ hrs into

I enjoyed playing it at the time, I think you as a Final Fantasy fan may be disappointed though after it's finished

Definitely watch Kingsglaive. I was putting it off because its a video game movie and they mostly suck but this is was really good. It makes the story of the first part of the game a lot better.

one of the frog quests is legit impossible without a guide too unless you want to comb over every square inch of the game world

Just be patient, and I'm sure you'll be able to do it. If you don't have the patience, then you can probably find a guide online. Personally, I think Costlemark was the most fun, challenging and creatively designed things in the whole game. Following a guide would just ruin the experience and feeling of accomplishment you get when you finally solve a difficult puzzle, but if you're absolutely stuck, then go ahead
