I think that'd be sealed after sale of Skrtel/Coates ...not to mention Suarez' money will help too.
We need someone to replace Downing in the starting eleven...and that's what Mkh does. It's amazing you seem so indifferent to what could be, our marquee signing of the summer (until Suarez goes, and we sign a replacement for him).

Definitely above Mail and Mirror but not sure either.
If they both are reporting it then perhaps something in it?

I'm not "indifferent," I simply think this is another case of addressing the wrong issue within the side. You're hyped because you're ALWAYS hyped for a big signing... you were more excited by the Carroll signing than Suarez, and argued that Downing was the better option to Mata. If Mkhitaryan comes in he'll have my full backing but until then (and even after until otherwise shown) I'll harbor doubts as to whether he's actually the best available option for what I feel the side needs. We're not going to be making a bigger signing than a £20m CAM this summer, so spiritually AND, IMO, focus-wise Mkhitaryan is, as I've already explained, basically a Suarez replacement in the side. That's why I believed and agreed with the Liverpool Echo article that stated he would not be pursued unless Suarez left (for footballing rather than financial reasons) and that's why I'm more concerned with addressing our main areas of concern (CB and CDM) while Suarez's future is still uncertain. I'd rather not see Skrtel leave until we're certain we have a player in the squad to replace him... and I don't see either of Toure or Ilori as that player. Sure, we've got two more months to secure a starting CB... but when we were first hearing that the Papa deal was within a week of being done we had 3 months; time whittles away damned quickly and we could still easily end up with the same issue we had last September, just in defense rather than attack.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.IV
Juventus are thought to be close to sealing the transfer of Torino’s Angelo Ogbonna.
A decisive meeting between the two Turin clubs is set to take place next week to seal the deal for the Italian defender, with the addition of a player to include in the deal the only stumbling block.
Tuttosport claims the Bianconeri are believed to be willing to pay between €10-12 million cash for the Granata defender but il Toro are hoping for a fee closer to the €18 million mark.
It is thought that Torino are willing to accept a player in the deal in order to reach their demands and The Old Lady have put forward Ciro Immobile, Richmond Boakye or the co-ownership of Frederik Sorenson or Luca Marrone.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.IV
I don't think any sources are 99% reliable unless it Sky Sports, BBC etc.
I'd say Sport is around 70-75% reliable.
British newspapers are like 5-10% reliable.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.IV
Nah i said Mundo Deportivo are BS, never said Sport are.
I have considered them legit ever since the Fabregas and Sanchez summer where they basically said what the fees and contracts were going to be a month before the signings even happened.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.IV
Sport are bias as hell just like Marca
Marca is not that bad they pull some bs stories but they are usually first for most things. They were the first ones to say RM were interested in Suarez. Which may or may not be true but everyone one has followed their lead, and know even reputable sites like EC are saying the same.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.IV
Local papers (Liverpool Echo, for example) tend to be the best sources of news as they balance reliability and early notice. Places like the BBC will report deals once they're complete or nearly so, so they're reliable but aren't much for breaking news.
Outside of those two sources, everything else is a crap shoot and dependent on the club(s) being reported on.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.IV
^ You seem to have stuck to Echo's very first report of Mkhi 2 weeks ago, where as only 2 days ago they had another article stating Mkhitaryan's capture will depend on Carroll sale as opposed to Suarez'.
