spent about 7 hours today just riding about Valen to the little settlements and ? marks, haven't progressed in the main story at all

found some GOAT hidden areas with monsters that look like I'll ned to be lvl 30+ to fight them ffs.

Also stumbled upon a GOAT quest with one of the characters from TW2. It was in such a random spot. I love this game.

I found a monster randomly that was so much higher than me that the level wouldn't even show up


I went to attack it, kicked me and i died in one hit

Had a big skull next to it, which i found out later means "impossible"

I went challenge accepted to ok i'll leave you alone exceedingly quickly.

Hard to say whether you will like the combat, it is much improved but i liked the Witcher 2 combat so i would think that.

As for restrictions, you won't have to worry about that here This game makes Skyrim's world look a puddle.

mole i just got the game, never played Witcher 1 or 2 how am I supposed to answer the questions before the game starts? any help would be much appreciated.

You don't actually have to, as you can choose to set the game to default.

But if you want to.... as it will probably give a better experience anyway, watch this video.

And going from 80km² to 138km² is around 7km larger in width/height. So mb, slightly smaller than WoW.

Combat is in its simplest description is a slow-paced hack and slash. Definately an improvement over the attempts to make a turn-based combat base seem actiony.

Your the one who brought it up lol, anyway anyone who calls it hack and slash is simply playing it wrong at least in Witcher 3.

I'll try to explain it as simply as possible.

It's more about timing your rolls, evades, parries than it is hacking and slashing. You can play it like that but i really wouldn't see why, the game simply isn't designed for that style of play without millions of deaths.

Combine that timing with the use of potions, oils, bombs and many other things combined with clever use of magic signs and it makes for a rather interesting and flowing combat system IMO.

No one who has played the stiff crap that Oblivion or Skyrim has to offer should really have a problem with it.
