I'm 88% into the download now.


Maybe it's in certain areas it's not released yet. But for me it was the very first demo in the demo section.

You're lucky you started downloading before they removed it from PSN.

Konami, first saying a demo will be out in August, then saying there will be one demo in September, then saying no PC demo, then a demo was released today, then they take it off PSN. If half these stuff happens during game development then I do not have ANY hope for this game either.

A lot of game developers fail badly in getting release dates correct.

Hell if the initial comments from Rockstar were accurate, we'd all have played GTA down to the core and moved on ages ago by now. But it's not even out yet


Demos seem to be an afterthought, I wouldn't read too much into their dates getting jumbled up.

Isn't this more on Sony than Konami?

I like attacking Konami's incompetence as much as the next guy but surely this on Sony no?

For all I know Konami said less than a month ago that we'll have a demo in August. They had already submitted the demo's code to Sony and Microsoft and were waiting for their approval. In the meantime, Konami possibly got negative feedback from close testers and they improved the game during this time, concluding that the game that was sent to Sony and Microsoft could have been better. So what next? Let's tell them we've changed our mind. Communication has gone wrong somewhere and the demo is released on PSN. Konami hear about it and call Sony instantly to take it down.

To be honest, I don't care if it's Sony's fault or Konami. Konami have *bleep* up enough in the past month for me not to give them the benefit of doubt any more.

Deleted the Demo 5 minutes in


Tactical screen was a mess, all the players names overlapped.


The game itsself looked hideous.

The close up face graphics are really good. But from the game point of view it looks pixelated and just awful.

Ok i played the demo and i can see massive improvements from 2013.

AI is a lot better in all regards, not just the computer but how your players interact off the ball and on it.

Passing is so much better and more "free".

The one thing which is noticeable right from the start is that both the player and the ball have separate physics like they said.

No longer is the ball stuck to your feet and the ball and the player seemingly operating as one object.

This makes dribbling, turning and other things feel so much more realistic and enjoyable to play.

I can't really comment on the shooting so far because i haven't really been able to get into make too many scoring opportunities.

But i'm not worried by that because the game has had quite an overhaul and as with every PES i find it takes a while to get used to.

Once again the learning curve is quite big, but i can see why this demo was hauled off as its clearly not ready.

The game in general is poorly optimized and there's an overall lack of responsiveness in the game which was already fixed for the gamescon build so i'm not worried about that either.

But there's enough there at least in my opinion to get excited about from the core gameplay to expect a good product when the final version demo arrives on September 11th.

Not like this brah..... The ball and the player have separate physics.

I have played every Fifa since they seperated the player and ball connection and its nothing like this.

Also there's a genuine lack of weight and inertia in Fifa which makes them move extremely unrealistically.

Its good to watch yeah, but players control the ball and have a weightless feel and their movement of bodyweight to shift the ball is non existent.

This engine seems to take all that into context, for example Javi Martinez feels like truck like he should do but Ribery glides across the ground.

Its all very realistic tbh, even if its an extremely early build with clear technical issues.

Basically this is what happened...

At some point Konami was considering releasing 2 demos again this year, and one of those was a close to E3 code, so they actually submitted it to Sony for release.
Then the code was poorly received by their playtest at Windsor and they decided to scrap that release as a demo and only release a final build demo, which is why there were a lot of rumours of an August demo.

Sony didn't get the memo and released it anyway.

So, this build that we're playing is 4 months old. People who played it at Windsor, E3 and Gamescom say that the Gamescom build is far superior in terms of the issues that I've mentioned in previous posts and are obvious to anyone. The Gamescom build is also 70% complete and those who had access to the near final code at Gamescom, which was not at the showfloor, say that it's also a lot better than the Gamescom code.

You ain't missing anything. I just played a few matches down my friend's console and it is far from a finished product. Hell, I didn't even enjoy playing it. My main issues with the past PES titles are still there and while it looked like a new game (visually), the AI especially behaved very close to PES 2013.

Oh boy, just keeps getting better ;All 20 La Liga Stadiums from last year not in this year.

Of course it isn't, its a 4 month old build which wasn't supposed to be released to the public.

Although i disagree on the AI i was never dominated in possession by the computer in PES 2013

After playing that disgusting demo I deleted it ASAP, unplugged my ps3, took it in the shower with me, sat down and rocked back and forth whilst scrubbing it clean/sobbing gently into the disc tray area.

The demo is 75% build, its before E3. It had the problems before they have been fixed. These problems include, but are not limited to:
       
-Very bad Gks
-Bad framerate

Not even that.... Gamescon was a 70% build and that build is much better than the E3 build and the behind the scenes build shown to media etc ect is 90% which fixed pretty much all the problems people had.
