Re: PES 2014
I rather play two demos, as before. The first demo should be like a closed beta where only selected people who actually care about the game can participate in and try to fix the issues well before release. They did that with MLO a couple of years ago and the feedback helped Konami a great deal.
The only point of having a demo close to release is a public demonstration of the game and a 'try before buy' thing for customers. Because by then it will be way too late to make any significant changes to the game.
I hope you're right about the rest of your post (people giving Konami shit if they are doing shit).

Re: PES 2014
That's what a demo's for is it not? try before you buy?
What you are describing there is a beta which is two totally different things.
Tbf i'd like that as well, but if they released a demo and i didn't like it would put me off buying the game honestly.
Its important they get it right, hopefully they do i need a football game and i find Fifa boring.

Re: PES 2014
Well if you release a bad demo it will put all those school kids who are the main buyers of footy games off - hence why I said a closed beta which those kids are not allowed in.
FIFA is shite I agree, I'll definitely get it though as I already preordered Xbox One (FML) and FIFA and PES are pretty much the only games I play (plus a few must-play titles like GTA, Battlefield etc.). FIFA 14 next generation isn't looking particularly good though, in fact I can't quite tell the difference from current generation in the few footages I've seen. EA have been getting away with putting half-arsed titles together in the past because Konami have been so far behind. I hope the Japanese don't screw their chances as it could be their time to match EA this time round.

I swear they were talking about how playing under the rain, the ball would behave differently and all.

Re: PES 2014
What a disgrace of a game.Rain not in because apparently:"Current-gen can't handle the heat."
Bullshit.Rain has been in Fifa for like Five years now.Next year they'll tell you We're not used to the new consoles and then the year after that they'll add it to the game and hype it like it's a huge thing.

Re: PES 2014
I don't actually care that much about having rain but the fact that Konami keep telling people things and break their promises as they get closer to release is not a good sign for the company, or PES 2014 in general. It basically just means everything is being rushed.
And let's face it. It is not the first time it's happened.

Re: PES 2014
We have known about snow for months so i'm not shocked by that.vivabarca38 wrote:Snow not in too.Wasn't rain in PES 13?Next year they'll have no turf.
Also the reason this is happening is because of the technical limitations of the current hard ware.
I knew something would be held back, i just didn't think it would be bloody rain
How ever just like Danyjr i'm not really bothered by the rain itself, i never play in rain but the broken promises its not a good look for them.
As i always said next gen PES is where you really see the potential of the new engine and this game will just be the beginning.
I still expect a great game though and considering all the reports by people they played the game at Gamescon were overwhelmingly positive i would be shocked if it wasn't.
Edit: apparently the choice was between kit physics( what ever that means) and rain and they chose the kit physics.

Not original photo but rain and snow don't make that much of a difference to me, so far, no football games has implemented them correctly.Great Leader Sprucenuce wrote:Troll harder mate....

Kit physics is the kit movement that we have seen in the PES 2014 gameplay.

Re: PES 2014
If you are getting the game, closely after release date, go to this website (http://www.pesuniverse.com) straight away and download the option files and then upload them on your console to have the game fully licensed. Its a great website created by PES youtubers.

Marvin Ronsdorf @Marvin_Ronsdorf 2m
Talked to @Konami on the phone. The available #PES2014 demo is pre-gamescom code. Not the final one which is scheduled for 11th September.
Oh right, so there's going to be two demos. Makes a bit more sense.

Re: PES 2014
Its an older version than the one that is released on 11th September ( which will represent the final product) so yeah.

5% in now actually so fk it i'll stick with it
PES need to make Pro clubs ffs.
Not even a massively unique or difficult concept.
Pair you and other real people up to take on other people. And have custom players.

Re: PES 2014
They are brah.... said there's going to be a 11 v 11 mode this year.
Reason they couldn't before was because of engine.
Anyway on the demo's this is basically a preview code and the one on 11th September is final product.
Either way its better than nothing and i'll try it later on today.

Re: PES 2014
The other important aspect is that it has a club layout. Not just a random selection of people thrown into a game.
But yeah, if they put in a proper pro clubs type mode. I'd prboably buy both games every year.
